A lot of mangaka can only draw their characters facing in one direction, so they have to flip over their drawing and trace the character facing the other direction. And I don't care if you don't believe me because it doesn't make it any less true. So for those mangaka that can draw the characters facing either way, they're bound to draw them facing in one direction better than the other. So if you flip the format of the page, the less-well-drawn character may look lopsided or weird.

Heh, Iceman should have frozen Pyro's twig and berries. I guess stuff like that would make me be not a good guy in most stories huh. Actually if I were Iceman I would have killed Pyro while he was down, but since Iceman is a good guy he didn't. Being a good guy sucks.

Crap and here I was hoping this was a review of GSC Burst. I almost picked up a volume in Japan to look at the purty pictures, but saved room in my luggage for stuff that I wouldn't be able to find easily out of Japan (cels, doujinshi, the latest toys, old toys, stuff, Hijikata Toshizo Beer).

You know, I always wondered if Magneto could just suck out all the iron from someone's bloodstream and kill them. Hell, if I had Magneto's powers that would be one of the first things I'd try, see what the upper limit of my power is.

For me it's like the difference between those weekly/monthly manga magazines with buttloads of different series episodes and you're following only one series. I don't like the wait between episodes. I want to sit down and watch/play the whole damned thing. Okay it may take me multiple sessions, but I dont like the idea of being forced to wait. I want the option to do it all at once. Then again I did go to watch each part of Lord of the Rings and didn't just wait for it all to be released on DVD. Same for PT Star Wars.

I'm waiting for the Half-Life 2 mod, No More Room In Hell. I'm waiting for reviews too. I dunno if I can justify to myself paying for something with really short gameplay. I'll stick with zombie-mod Counterstrike Source otherwise.

I am a barbaric gaijin that looks Japanese. Hot diggity damn it was amusing and not at the same time in Japan, everyone thought I was Japanese. But because I was with my wife who isn't asian, we managed to get along fine. Heh, I didnt have to worry about hiding my anime related crap since she's into anime and manga too. So we went to a bunch of Mandarake shops (good god I went into forbidden territory just to keep my wife company in Ikebukuro, the Women's Mandarake, aka The Yaoi-only Mandarake... And K-books and the other shops, which werent all yaoi only thankfully). Heh we managed to get a bunch of autographs at comike, including some artists that normally don't give autographs but made an exception since we were foreignors. Man, I miss going to combinis for food, they were so cool! And the subway system was so clean! The metro in Paris is dirtier than an unflushed public toilet (in fact line 14 has sewage leakage and literally has crap falling from the ceiling sometimes).

Yeah but mog, think, with how much people arent liking the movie already, how much worse would it be if they showed a full body craptastic sentinel? While cheesy the way they did it, it was probably better that way.

I didn't know about this, I never got into VOTOMS, so I never went into that thread. I guess I'm happy I picked up the Lodoss War OVA DVD set a while ago. And I have the Lodoss TV series to maybe finish watching, one day... Maybe...

Oh so that's where Psylocke was in the movie. I didn't notice her, just like I didn't notice Jubilee. total waste to put them in the movie and have them do NOTHING. Heh, well at least there's not going to be a X-men vs Street Fighter movie, or worse a Marvel vs Capcom movie.

For me it was generic stuff of parents' friends' kids coming over, and me being forced to let them play with my stuff and make my room a mess after I was forced to clean up my crap. They'd mess my toys up and stuff, but I think I would hide my favorites in advance so they couldnt play with them. Of course when we went to visit the family that visited us, OH NO I couldnt play with their crap or leave their stuff a mess, and if I asked why they could do it and I couldnt I was told because it wasn't right. But one toy of mine from early childhood got lots of vengeance for all you other guys out there that had parents that threw your stuff out. I kept leaving this die-cast Klingon Bird of Prey ship from Star Trek III, small little die-cast ship, out on the floor. And it would act like a caltrop and my dad would step on it, get pissed and throw it out. But because my mom is awesome, she would fish it out of the trash and give it back to me, and I would leave it out while playing and my dad would step on it again and throw it. He never could get rid of it, and I still have it to this day.

Sounds good, VF-4, VF-5000, maybe some re-done 19-series valks. I don't care for the VA-3 and wouldn't even consider anything from Macross II. But that's just me, whatever floats your boat. Man I'm glad I'm almost done with the Saint Seiya Saint Cloth Myth figures. I'm only waiting for two more characters to come out. I'm also glad the Master Replicas Star Wars Collector Edition props aren't limited. I can pick stuff up later. Bring it on Yamato! XD

Uhm has anyone found supermarkets in Tokyo? My wife and I only found one, the only other supermarket we found was in an outlying town when we went to the Hijikata Toshizo museum. Otherwise all we found were little mom and pop markets and of course all those wonderful combinis. I liked kotobukiya in Akihabara, they had a number of Macross valkyries last summer. I've got to go back to Japan sometime.
