Good point on the cultural differences thing Skethchley. Each culture tends to think they're the best and ultimate. Europe isn't so uptight and squeemish about nudity. You can't show bare breasts in the US on primetime or during the news hour (female breasts, no one in either culture looks twice at man-boobs). In the streets you can see ads with bare breasts fairly often. Heh, it shocked a lot of Americans to come to Paris and see an add for water with a naked woman. Different culture, different standards and views. Of course the different culture thing opens up another can of worms to debate on.

Positive discrimination = discrimination. Someone is still getting the shaft because another person gets favored for skin tone/sex/eye color/hair color/place of origin. It can damage the feelings of worth in people, because some realize that they're not being chosen for a job (or to get into university) because of personal merit, but because they're a minority or a woman, or a woman minority, or a hemaphrodite (what do you check in those boxes that only have male or female anyway if you're a true hemaphrodite?). The way a lot of people toss around the word elitism with contempt, and scream at the mention of discrimination. This double-standard of positive discrimination is abominable. Just like with PC, preaching tolerance when practicioners hold no tolerance for people who do not hold PC views. So for someone that's sexist, a PC person will condemn them rather than try to educate them and change that sexist person's view, without holding any tolerance as to why they may be sexist, the person's past history, or important things like that. Or like those people that pull the race card all the time on EVERYTHING. It's okay because they're a minority and they can pull it. But if you point it out, you're going to get in a heap of trouble from not only the minority guy pulling the race card, but all the PC people who overhear you as well. And I do understand why Roy is going to close this topic down. I could see how the subject matter may cause some people to lose sanity and not be able to debate in a civil manner.

They've also had some problems with banned members trying to come back often under new pseudonyms. They recently discovered one of their members who had been banned for interefering with other members business, acting trollish, and other stuff, had come back under a new identity and fooled a lot of people into believing he was someone else. This guy also had been arrested in the past and thrown in jail for trying to screw a teenage girl after coercing her using her religion, or something like that. They want to keep people like that off the forum. I just lurk there because I don't build prop replicas or anything, so I've got nothing to add there. They've got cool topics and stuff though, so I look from time to time at the interesting things like the Obi-wan Kenobi cut-away lightsaber someone built.

Man I just saw on cnn the fighting going on between English and German fans. Yikes. Can't believe people get so worked up over watching a sport that they'd turn stupid and attack people. Oh well it was two big mobs, and people turn retarded in groups.

Something that I hate with PC and feminism. Double-standards. They can act like buttholes, but if you call them on it, they throw everything and the kitchen sink at you.

God don't remind me about the price of the old Bandai 1/65 M7 valkyries. I got my Fire Valkyrie because I was desperate for a 19 model valkyrie, and I couldnt find the 19S anywhere. I wound up regretting getting it because it was so damned chunky, ugly, and cheap (well cheaply made and designed).

Funny thing is that women tend to like their yaoi story guys to be not REALLY gay, but just for whenever they screw some other guy.

To get it proportioned right in all modes, some sacrifices have to be made unfrotunately. If the front was lengthened out in fighter mode to match the anime lineart, battroid mode would be even taller and more lanky (or it would have a super pointy uni-boob). If you shorten battroid (since it has a tall belly) it'll look smaller in fighter. I'm really curious to see it in gerwalk. I can't wait for protoype pics! Because I admit that the VF-0 didnt look as good to me in lineart mode, whereas the pics I've seen of the production model look AWESOME!

The section 31 thing appeals to me because I got sick of the good guy type stuff that they usually try to do. That's one reason that Mal from Firefly/Serenity really appeals to me. He is a good guy, but he won't hesitate to do things that most starfleet officers and most heroes wouldn't do (like unmessed with Han Solo). But I do see your point Penguin. If you don't have the right people working on it, you get processed crap.

I'd change the transparent plastic bits from orange to the normal red and blue, for the landing gear lights. 1S or 1J head. Or battle damage it and have it filled with holes.

I like the Minmay with the beret. Already picked up a DYRL Minmay so I'll pass on this one. Shower scene Minmay I would buy. Basically take the Ishtar body, pop Minmay's head on and paint it appropriately, and boom, instant shower scene Minmay.

Yes, they would do that, they did it before. And a lot of Japan wouldn't give a rat's ass about the western world, a lot of art site owners dislike western fans because they STEAL artwork and post them on photoblogs and crap like that. But I'm getting off the subject. Oh yeah, a number of shops and stuff won't sell to foreignors or ship out of Japan.
