  1. off topic: At first, i rejected G Gundam. However, once it gets to the Devil Gundam storyline, i love it. It is fun to watch. G Gundam also shows that we have to protect nature before it is too late. (The purpose of Devil Gundam is to use DG cells to restore nature to its best shape) And for those of you who hate M0, I want to say "keep an open mind". M0 only has 2 eps and there are 3 more to come. It is unwise to think M0 is a bad show because the amount of time it takes to have 1 eps when the best has yet to come. (Waiting is not a problem as long as I can see a good show and M0 is a good show. )
  2. I finished the Japanese version of Encounter in Space (included all Ace pilot mode). The cut scenes for RX-78-4 and 5 are not very good... they are NOT OVA quality so don't buy that DVD. The cut scenes of MS: Gundam are way better.
  3. MRR is fun to watch... (for all ages) Too bad that Bandai doesn't port over King of Braves: GaoGaiGar to NA (or any Braves series)
  4. I don't mind a new Shoji Kawamori's Gundam OVA. Haruhiko Mikimoto has his own Gundam manga in a manga magazine - Gundam Ace.
  5. [rumor] Bandai may bring this anime to North America next year. [/rumor]
  6. Do u guys think Japanese kids are somewhat more mature than American kids?
  7. which version you guys want to watch more? Matusmoto version or Nishizaki version?
  8. Gundam opened the door to a whole new "small size robot" world in the Japanese animation world. Without it, Macross would look very different.
  9. I need a brain wash now... after watching that clip...
  10. Right now, no one truely know what is FFVII:AC. SquareEnix can make it into anything. It can be a DVD movie release, a theater release, a PS2 FFVII game or one of the launch title for Sony's PSP.
  11. HG sounds very unresponsible to me... Why they did't do the total remaster at the first time??? AND the last DVD release is not long time ago... If HG has the heart to do a good remaster, they should have done it last time. It is good that Macross Zero/7/Plus/DYRL didn't fall into HG's hand.
  12. I wonder how much HG can remaster/improve the show from the originals, some 20 years old films/tapes... and the last "remastered" edition And I don't see how they can put 5.1 or 7.1 ch on SDF: Macross... (it will sound different... and maybe to the point of weird)
  13. Max, Millia, Roy and Isamu got 'em beat. They are Ace pilot. But Amuro and Char are evolved human (aka New Type) with psychic power... Amuro did push the asteroid, "Axis", away from earth... Yup. All by himself. Barehanded, too. Not even a spacesuit. ... Ummm, no. Amuro is some sort of God-like figure in the animation world (same for Roy and Char).

  15. Victory is not slow at all... G Gundam and Master Gundam are... very fast too VFs do fly faster but Gundams have stronger and better weapons (for example: psychic communcation weapon) That's why in SRW, VFs (and Aura Battler Dunbine) are for fast attack and getting the enemies attentions while Gundams and other Super Robots do the finishing move. (except Amuro, he can do anything with his Hi-Nu Gundam)
  16. WoW, you guys play/know Super Robot Wars! I am a big fan of SRW. (specially SRW alpha and 2nd SRW alpha ) The crossover is GREAT! VFs, MSs, Super Robots team together and fight against (underground empires/evil ancient civilizations/Titans/Zeon/aliens who're trying to destory mankind/invaders from other solar systems/creatures from other dimensions) together... it is so "hot blood" what else can u ask for? Amuro and Char are the best pilots in the whole Japanese Animation world... anyone agree?
  17. From the way I see it, Gundam.com was getting some bad rap from the hardcore fans due to various reasons: - The information database probably wasn't updated since day one. Because it's Gundam.com, many people expect to find all the character and mecha info they need on that site. Lesser-known sites like MAHQ and Newtype Asylum have more information and reviews. - Too many newbies on the forums. Majority of them were probably kindergarteners, given the repetitive questions they ask and the poor grammar they display. As a result, more than half of a forum page was filled with locked threads. - Flame wars. There were too many for the mods to control. - SPAM attacks. Several outsiders spammed the boards with posts related to a site called "Outworld." BTW, has anyone seen that site? I had fun posting on Gundam.com while it was still around. I will be looking forward to the site's return. Too much newbie was big problem in g.com. A lot of old Gundam fans left the forum because of it. I remember I was in a post war with the wingers/kids. They think 0083 and MS08 team are bad after they watched the first EP. I cannot help myself but to fight back... (then, i got a warning) Dub vs Sub issue also made me mad. Some newbie don't understand the fun of listening to famous Japanese voice actor/actress and they think i am weird because i don't watch dub. For the SPAM attack part, i know very little about it but I did hear something like that. Amuro was not happy about it.
  18. What was your username there? my username is oogami ichirou in g.com but i don't post regularly. what happened to g.com? Amuro is taking a holiday?
  19. areaseven, haven't see you for a while since Gundam.com is out of service...
  20. sorry guys, there is no VF-19 or VF-0 in this game... i just unlock all planes the most special planes are TV verison of MAX's and MILIA's VF that's it...
  21. Yes, there is VF-4 in the game... I have been playing for the past 5 hours. I finished the game 2 times. -There are 2 game mode - the TV story mode and the movie/ova DYRL story mode. -The TV story mode has 12 missions and the movie story mode has 8 missions. -VFs have both TV story design and the movie design. (GREAT!) -The control is not hard to get used to but it takes a lot of time to master it. (example: push left analog stick from left to right very quickly will make VF to spin and avoid missiles) -Air/Space Combat is great. You need to use all 3 mode (Battroid/Gerwalk/fighter). Fighter is maily for moving around, chasing enemies and shooting missiles. Gerwalk is for slowing down (just like in the 1st combat scene in the DYRL) and shooting missiles. Battroid is for close range combat with the gun pod and there is an auto target system in this mode. (in other mode, you have to find enemies in the radar) -Ground combat is great too. (better than Robotech) Mainly, you will be switching back and forward behind Gerwalk to battroid mode. (You can switch to fighter mode too for moving around the map quickly) The main purpose of Gerwalk mode is for shooting missiles to attack stronger enemies or far away enemies. (the gun pod is no good for stronger enemies like the Glaug) Once, they are right beside you, just use auto target and shoot them with the gun pod as much as possible. AIs will try to fly around when they are under gun attack. Ground combat is like playing Gundam DX... -After each mission, the game will give you a rank. Rank is for unlocking sercet VFs. -After finishing both TV and DYRL mode, a Free mission mode will pop up for you to replay the missions seperately. -Replay value is very high because there are sercets VF to be unlock... however, some of the missions are very very hard to get a good rank... example: the last mission in DYRL, the whole screen is filled with Glaug and Queadluun-Rau... i always get a D rank -BGM is great... because SEGA use the classic macross BGMs (litte white dragon is my favourite) -SDF Macross is little bit smaller than usual... weird. -there is only 1 animation clip in this game. (the ending of DYRL, the clip of Minmay sings in a concert) This game is a must have for Macross fans... it is the best Macross game so far.
