    I think Mr. K mentions that the colour's going to be dark gray with a little bit of blue.

    Exactly. And the lines around the edges of the seat are due to constructive reasons. All Yamato valks are made like that.

    The seat doesn't rotate, the whole cockpit does.

    IMO when you don’t like your valk’s battroid mode, are afraid of breaking something while transforming them and think they are too expensive then the only logical way to follow is to switch to model kits, otherwise you will always feel miserable.
