LOL.....but now that you mention not having the VF-X............. What Yamato/Arcadia VF PT toy becomes the new holy grail for completists? I figured the popular valks like the VF-4, VF-1D and Max & Milia VF-1J's would eventually see a re-release.....but I still don't see VFs like the VF-X, Virgin Road -1D, and Angel Birds ever getting a second release.........Still the reissue of the VF-4 gives some hope...even if it just a fool's hope....

Huh? Are you saying that your VF-X did not come with a BigWest disclaimer strictly prohibiting the use of the VF-X's landing gear? You need to check your box dude! But, yeah.....no way Yamato back then...or Arcadia today...would need to retool their mold just so it does not transform or to eliminate a feature not seen on the lineart..... It's all about the price and/or availability of the FB2012 license.....

Exactly....I think someone gave the reason why we cannot get a FB2012 VF-4 due to "transformation issues" and it somehow stuck as internet fact.... Yamato wasn't going to waste money on a new non transforming VF-1 mold just to satisfy the "non-transformation" requirement for the VF-X........same thing now would apply with the FB2012 version of the VF-4........ BW is simply just asking more than Arcadia and Yamato is/was willing to pay for the license.....or it is just not available....and/or still in Bandai's hands! Bandai had it last....so if anyone knows what a license for a FB2012 VF-4 costs, in any scale or configuration, it is Bandai!

Now that the VF-4G has been released....if the concern is over "transformation" then just handle it like they handled the VF-X release...which also should not be able to "transform".... BW is just charging too much for the license in 1/60-ish scale...........or maybe Bandai already snatched it?

Bandai should get the Macross the First license and do a MtF SDF-1, VF-1J, VF-1D and VF-4!!! Plus Super VF-1's with the crazy fast-packs!

Here's hoping Arcadia will simply just screw up the colors again.....in a good way!

Maybe you were thinking of Shawn's collection.....we have many of the same things....the redundancy ensures one of our collections survives in case of a nuclear catastrophe...or the Big One...whichever comes first!

I'm afraid MWCon has never had that pleasure.....

Get the Yamato.....not only will he have a Macross toy...but he will gain valuable lessons in patience and perseverance! * warning - he may become too comfortable with some harsh words along the way!

That would be a great idea...or as close to it like what Megahouse did for the recent Orguss release... But I'd be just as happy with more Tenjin boxart!

I've said it before just have Arcadia release the the FB2012 VF-4 with a warning that it should NOT be transformed without the written consent of BigWest! But seriously....BW must be demanding way too much for that license....

Who needs a "company" when we have 3P entrepreneurs who can make anything when there is enough demand for it....

Almost forgot to add the 1/100 RC-4E Rabbit...make it so!!! 1/100 is so hot right now! if you look at the VF-1J Max and Milia...and the Super VF-1A....they are all DYRL type.....Bandai probably does not want to spend the extra cash to mold the correct armor parts for each version....at this scale I can live with it....plus the fact that Bandai is even making us Regults, Monsters, and Spartans...well...R = RESPECT!!!

I'm thinking everything in that initial diorama pic is going to be a general release....anything else may end up as web exclusives... So maybe web exclusives will be: Reguld missile pack add-ons Reguld Scout Tomahawk Defender Phalanx Quedluun-Rau Nousjadeul-Ger Other VF-1 variants....like TV Max and Kakizaki This Hi-Metal R line has the potential to become really prolific and complete..... With the VE-1 and VT-1....the only DYRL VF-1 variant missing (between the HM and HMR lines) will be the VF-1S Max....that's amazing! And how difficult would it be for Bandai to make a DYRL version of the Reguld? Another Web exclusive? Better yet....with their sudden show of affection for all things Macross...one can imagine even DYRL versions of the Quedluun-Rau and Nousjadeul-Ger....a fool's hope, but a hope nonetheless!
