Per Nin-Nin:
Thank you for contacting Nin-Nin Game Customer Service! We understand your concern regarding the recent changes to U.S. import tariffs. While the current tariff rate for goods from Japan is 24%, please note that many of the items we sell, although shipped from Japan, are manufactured in China—which may result in higher tariffs under current U.S. customs regulations (currently, 145%).At this moment, we are unfortunately unable to confirm whether the Japanese or Chinese tariff rate will be applied to your parcel, how long these rates will remain in effect or if they may increase or decrease in the near future. This means that once your parcel arrives in the U.S., you will be required to pay this tariff amount directly to U.S. customs or your chosen shipping carrier, depending on how the parcel is handled during clearance.
To help you manage this situation, we are offering the following options:
- Hold Your Parcel: We can delay shipping your order until the tariff situation becomes clearer or more favorable.
- Priority Processing: We can request that your order be processed as a priority in our warehouse so it can be shipped as soon as possible.
- Undervaluation: Upon request, we can undervalue the declared item amount (up to 50% of the original value) to help reduce the customs taxes you may have to pay.
If you choose the undervaluation option, please note that in the case of loss, theft, or damage, any compensation will be limited to the declared value.
Just let us know if you would like to proceed with any of these options, we’re here to support you through these changes.Thank you and best regards,The Nin-Nin Team -

It's the perfect release really, it's made for the Japanese market. Very few people outside Japan are going to buy Mac7 merch.
With the exception for SDFM and DYRL....all Macross series are no longer "Japan Market" only....

going to pass on pre-ordering and wait, i don't think i'll be in a hurry for this one.
Probably not the best VF to test the mettle of most collectors during these economic times....
It could be worse though.....imagine it being the announcement of the DX Elintseeker.....still worth it with a 245% tax for US Collectors?
-
LOL....is going to the Disney parks that out of reach financially these days that they need to release "official" POV videos?
With that said...why wait until May 4th?

I am waiting for clarification on what happens if a package incoming from anywhere but China gets selected for random inspection by US Customs.....will the "Made in China" contents become subject to the US China tariff of 245%?
-
Does the VF used for the logo mean anything?
The current WWM logo features the 19, 29 and 25....all non SDFM and DYRL VF's....
Probably just a bait and switch maneuver....but one can "hope" for some interesting developments...
-
Under normal circumstances....this would become clearance fodder....with the current tariff nonsense....if Bandai is fearful of the "Made in China" ramifications....it's possible it may limit WWM availability to US customers knowing that not too many US collectors would be willing to potentially be on the hook for a 245% tax on it upon arrival at US Customs.....Hopefully, the whole tariff situation gets resolved soon...
With that said, I'm good with my Original Yamato VF-19 Kai with Super Parts....plus I was able to grab the set of Fire Bomber 1/60 figs too a long while ago....more importantly....skinny-legged Macross 7 DX'S are an easy pass...everyone knows them legs need to be thicc....

I don't think most kids and teens care for Star Wars these days....to get that crowd packed into the theatres, Lucasfilm needs to get tiktokers to start creating memes for the movie asap...worked for Minecraft!

Last I checked, if the HMR says it's Made in China, it gets tariffed as coming from China even if shipped from Japan.
It all depends on how aggressive customs will get.....a brown shipping box from Japan in theory should get the Japanese tarrif.....some US custom guys looking to get employee of the month may open the same box for inspection and see a toy with packaging that says "Made in China".....what happens next may cost you more than double what you paid...

The whole tariff thing has been kinda shifting back and forth for the most part, but I think currently it’s leaving Japan alone, while hitting China quite hard. So I’d guess that it wouldn’t be too bad to get an hmr, while unfortunately the KC stuff may end up more than double the cost. Not sure if there’s an odd loophole that allows them to ship somewhere else that would end up showing the country of origin as somewhere different, since I’m not an expert at all in this kinda thing.
Some Chinese companies have been evading US tarrifs by outsourcing their manufacturing to places like Vietnam....thus why Vietnam is getting hit hard too....so it will be interesting to see how deep the US will dig to tack on tarrifs on any merch "made in China"....and/or "for China"....the weak Yen was nice while it lasted....now we'll be back to probably the same high prices or worse....

Maybe the release of KC's Recon Battlepod, Tomahawk, and Phalanx will finally get Bandai to get off their ass and release the HMR versions.
Who really knows why Bandai has yet to release those long teased figures....but I can't imagine our current economic climate being very encouraging for Bandai to finally pull the trigger on any of them....I'll patiently keep waiting....and try and stay optimistic on the KC releases....

Well, on the bright side at least the tariffs are only on the base cost, and not the exorbitant shipping?
The 145% tarrif would make the shipping cost seem reasonable....no bright sides to be had for a while....

No pictures of any other characters - at least Quamzin is in my set which leads me to believe there should/could be more.
Nope...just 8

Hi,
I had a full set (all 4 models) of the old 1/20000 Arii ship kits (including doubles of two of them) sitting in my backlog of models for a good 25 years or more.
I finally pulled them out, opened the shrink wrap and have been assembling them over the last month or so (another post about those - the quality and fit leaves a lot to be desired; the progress in kit design in the intervening years has spoiled me!).
What I didn't realise is that these must have come from either a limited run or a special release as they all contain a random, sealed (a stapled opaque black bag) bonus figure (approx 4" high). They're a mix of characters; I found these:
Quamzin
Roy Fokker, standing, formal dress suit
Hikaru Ichijyo, standing, formal dress suit
Minmay, swimsuit
Minmay, dress
I have 6 kits, but one was without shrink-wrap and did not include the random figure.
I haven't been able to find a list of figures included in this run of the Zentradi ships. Does anyone know which figures were produced?
