I don't understand how anyone involved on it's initial concept right to the engineering in CAD didn't say "Hey, this whole thing is NOT a good idea. Lets write it off."

The idea was a slam dunk right from the first drug-induced pitch meeting....

How much is the now general price of the Yamato Macross 1/60 VF-1S Low Visibility out of curiousity.

One hasn't sold on YJA in 180 days, so there is no historical data about the current open market price....with that said there is one that actually ended a few minutes after this post, with no sale at 32,105 JPY, it was relisted at 31,142 JPY...it is brand new, unopened....let's see if it sells this time...if not, at least it will tell you what you can't ask for it....lol  https://auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/r1188394102

You can also try a search on Mandarake, but their price is not determined by competative bidding...generally, their pricing usually runs lower than the open market prices you'd see on auctions...but if you were to match Mandarake pricing, it would probably be considered a "good deal" by most...as always, YMMV and with the economic situation being what it is....it could be we are in an extended buyer's market for the forseeable future....

Good news is that they continue the 001 release on both tailfins , like they did with original Focker release.

Still hard to believe they doubled down with the Mechanic Edition Hikaru VF-1S with the 100 tailfin extra option, such a weird commitment to that mistake.

    Did you miss the memo?

Are you serious Bandai? This was teased more than five years ago when Hikaru’s GBP was shown in public with Max’s version of the GBP as well. Bandai said that they were not going to make it, but they decided to after all (now 6/7 (?) yrs after the DX 1j & GBP combo set was released). 🤨

Imagine how butt-hurt the HMR Phalanx and Tomahawk must feel right about now....

I was hesitant to create a new flyers thread, and could fold things back in, but where would some of the misc promo flyers go

There are misc event flyers, game flyers, model flyer etc
    Any thoughts?

    In the flyer thread!

I guess if it is a standard (or close to it) flyer size of B5 and it is specifically used for promotional purposes, be it a game, toy, movie event, or anything being promoted for a future /upcoming date...for example, not just a mini version of a full size poster...then I guess that makes it a "flyer"?  Also, flyers usually have content in the font and back of them...

    https://www.reuters.com/world/us-ends-tariff-exemption-all-low-value-packages-2025-07-30/

Under an executive order signed by President Donald Trump, packages valued at or under $800 sent to the U.S. outside of the international postal network will now face "all applicable duties" starting on August 29, the White House said.”

“Goods shipped through the postal system will face one of two tariffs: either an "ad valorem duty" equal to the effective tariff rate of the package's country of origin or, for six months, a specific tariff of $80 to $200 depending on the country of origin's tariff rate.”

I wonder if the $80-$200 tariff will be per item or per package. This is going to suck for all the upcoming preorders coming out at the end of the year.

Things just went from bad to worse....

So now all shipments, regardless of how or who is handling the shipment, from any country with a declared value of $800 or less is subject to the Trump tax....either as a percentage of the current country's tarrif rate or...for the next 6 months....$80-200...depending on the country of origin....either way, after 6 months every low value package (including all the plastic stuff we show off here) will get hit with the Trump import tax.....don’t you all feel "liberated"?...

I wonder if individual states will be emboldened to jump on the import tax bandwagon and start charging separate state import taxes on goods.....would make sense to do so to cover all the revenue losses resulting from the big stupid bill that was passed recently....

  8. The flat paints figs look much better than the chrome paint figs...

Hopefully US customers get some sort of acknowledgement from KC regarding the shipping "situation"....right now they seem to just be pretending like it is not a problem if they simply make no mention of it....;)
