  1. I guess I'm keeping Amazon Prime too...
  2. I think it is safe to say the sketch won't....I doubt there is a market for it in the US at that $2000 price, which means it would need to go to about $2500 to break even on it.....not even the likes of saraliso or UTH is that stupid....
  3. It was a decent lot to get a collection going....but at a high entry point... But the biggest winner over the weekend was thie Minmay drawing.....214,000 JPY https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/d453930938 The bloodbath towards the final minutes got up to 102 bids but at the end it appears to have stayed local
  4. Among the rubber keshi figurines, kites, gliders, rubber rafts and other oddball toys, Ohsato also managed to add collectible cards to their expansive lineup of Macross licensed products. Ohsato Toy Company arguably produced the most diverse assortment of Macross products in the history of the franchise. It has been fun collecting their stuff and new things always seem to come up every so often. Ohsato Toy Company, Ltd Macross Card Set 1 (1-60) Ohsato Toy Company, Ltd Macross Card Set 2 (61-124)
  5. COVID or NO COVID....Amazon.jp sends out their books via DHL....if only they had a Mikimoto book avaiable to send... Still, I suppose I should be able to get my "Roy Fokker Special" book in the same amount of time..usually 1-2 days after release!
  6. Looks like a proxy lost out to a local on this one....I thought the Japanese didn't like Macross II? LOL.... https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/e444450571....48,000
  7. Winning bid on the magazine illustration.....41,501 JPY https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/s751077842 Judging by the final auction winning bid amount...41,501....going to say a proxy bidder won it.....anyone here win it?
  8. Illustration by Toshihiro Hirano and Narumi Kakinouchi of Macross, the Super Dimension Fortress used in the May 1983 issue of My Anime.....41,501 JPY https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/s751077842
  9. Macross II Sylvie Gena genga........48,000 JPY https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/e444450571
  10. The V1 Yamato VF-1 did "detachable" legs first!
  11. YJA is going to be your best bet these days....I think there is a 1/76 () scale Armored Max-1J on YJA right now.....the gun is alot harder to come by, I have not seen one listed in quite a while.... http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/topic/48195-takatoku-toys-macross-sdf-1-lasergun/ http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/topic/48201-takatoku-toys-176-armored-valkyrie-series/
  12. I can't recall if I still have mine...if you have a chance can you snap a head-on shot of the V1 VF-1S head like the ones below?....I would like to see how more "squished" it looks compared to the new DX TV VF-1S head....all I can remember is that it looks way too small for the rest of the body it's attached to....
  13. It's pretty bad.... The poor Yamato V1 VF-1 toys were instrumental in re-igniting the new PT VF-1 golden age we are living in right now....but they are seldom brought up these days for a reason..several of them...
  14. If BW wants to open and curate one, they can give me a call!
  15. Yep....took Bandai 20 years to finally release one with a decent amount of tampo printing on it so you don't have to mess with stickers..... Almost another 20 years after that and they've gone tampo hardcore!
  16. All these years we thought that Yamato just totally screwed up the VF-1S head on their V1 release......turns out it was a Kawamori head!!!
  17. LOL.... Takatoku Toys Catalog, 1983..... We really need a new take on the BIG MACROSS!
  18. My Anime, May 1983
  19. All new DX VF-1S...MSRP 3,980.....get yours now!!!
  20. @de_005...thanks for the translation! I was able to dig up the issue....exactly as you suggested it was....My Anime, May 1983..... It is actually one of the less interesting illustrations....here are the rest....seems to be some kind of story involving Hikaru and Minmay.....maybe I can use Google Translate to get an idea of what is happening in the story.....
  21. heheh.... It was time for another Terminator-Macross mashup!
  22. Agreed....I have both of the posters you mentioned, but somehow it would seem the VF-1A TV Max and VF-1A DYRL Kakizaki posters never were printed....there's probably a way to take the images available for the two and create posters out of them... Old School PT VF-1 toy posters.....
  23. Heheh.... Actually, I can't say I really follow any bands anymore...or listen to music that I would have normally listened to in the past....these days I just listen to whatever my kids listen to...I like most of it, so I guess I'm not an old fart yet....just don't ask me to name any of the artists!
  24. OK, Radiohead fan of the year!
