  1. What about the -17? That one was green on the pics too, no?
  2. You must be looking in all the wrong places....Original Bandai 1/65 VF-19S's are easy to find on YJA, they come up quite often on auction
  3. It's a HG license...maybe HG doesn't care what what a licensee does with their "Robotech" license once they have paid in full for it? BTW....anyone considering a KC purchase, it's probably best to hold off until ThreeZero puts theirs out....wish I had been in that position a few years ago....the 1/72 VF-1 KC was OK and it was heading in the right direction in terms of gradual improvements with each revision, but recently they made a poor decision in their mold that has now made their 1/72 take a few steps backwards in fit and appearance
  4. @sh9000 = King of Bringing Macross art to life
  5. I was able to sneak in a 10am showing of the IMAX 3D presentation. It was a good movie, the 3D really added to the enjoyment....especially the underwater scenes. As for box office receipts.....I think that only matters for bragging rights and perhaps to stroke Cameron's ego....in reality, the movies just don't have to suck too terribly as they are mainly to keep "Avatar" and the "Word of Pandora" relevant....Disney has spent millions on it's Pandora world at Animal Kingdom and they won't let that become just another area of the park in need of "re-booting" due to lack of interest....they just need to figure out how to save on the cost of creating these films... Looking forward to some underwater action sequences by the time I head of to WDW again! It's personally the best ride across all 4 theme parks at WDW at the moment.
  6. LOL....I'd buy Macross gummies!
  7. HJ Mechanics 14 Probably the best Macross modelling mook released in a while....film scene recreations for the win.... Hope they release a SDFM "TV" edition!
  8. OK....now I've seen it all.... Ohsato is the king of old school Macross kitsch...........from foam gliders to pool floats.....trading cards to kites...and practically anything they could work their Macross license onto! But would anyone actually want to create "KO" Ohsato rubber keshi? YES! There is a chance that these are in fact legit Ohsato products, but the odd color of their molds, especially the "hot pink blob" makes me beieve that they are indeed KOs.....the "official" Ohsato releases for these keshi come in neat little boxes that always conveyed high-quality that for the most part never materialized from any Macross Ohsato release...yet they are still awesome and among my most prized Macross items.....these are vintage vending machine fodder, so it's possible that Ohsato did produce these for the vending machine market....we will likely never know, the answers lost in time....... ..and these are the "official" Ohsato releases.....
  9. I had planned on watching this weekend, but now I may have to push it to after Christmas.....dang life priorities! I usually do not care about spoilers but I'm making an exception for this movie....hope it doesn't suck...also plan to watch it on IMAX 3D when I get around to it....
  10. The "small" inflatable "boat"....only from the mind of Ohsato!
  11. I think I'm looking forward to the HJ Mechanics mook more so than the latest VFMF.... This sounds interesting....pg 108...Nostalgic Macross Model Hunter....
  12. I like the "chrome red" accent striping...but why did they not also use the same chrome red on the arm stripes too?
  13. no list...just memory, which gets worse every year...
  14. As seen on Episode 2: Countdown.... Toys/Posing: @sh9000
  15. Heck yeah....and it's usually things you already have or are also looking for (gulp)! Plus the few items I don't reveal for fear of getting shill bid on if they ever do show up.... If you are in the Chicago area, let me know....just be prepared to go through many boxes as my museum has been more or less put on an indefinite hiatus... It's not the pic taking that's the problem...it's organizing/categorizing it all properly....I've been saying that I will do it now for decades....but acquisition has always been waaaay more fun than anything else that should come afterwards....ugh....maybe after I buy the 4th Macross "The Notebook" will I finally sit down and start accounting for what I actually have..... We need a cool MacrossWorld Coffee Table book....kinda like that booklet that came withe the DVD set a few years back...but way more comprehensive and tons more photos! Where's the Dream Projects you'll never get to thread!
  16. YJA is going to be the best indicator of what open market pricing will be for any given collectible...if you saw one go for that price...then that's what they are fetching these days...especially brand new, never taken out of the box...you may get lucky and find a used one for less, but at most it may be 10-20% less....interest in that specific release has gained momentum.... If you are willing to wait...it's possible that Arcadia may re-release it now that they seem to be on Dynamite 7 with their soon to release VF-5000... Happy Hunting!
  17. The other weird thing about those diorama shots and builds are the seemingly endless wave of merch and foruko with the very same images...especially from the merchandising geniuses at Ohsato and the publishing gurus at TV-Kun!
  18. heheh....any day now you'll see the now typical listing about "selling dad's old junk from the attic" ...cheap! Time to cut back on sleep!
  19. It's funny how seeing these old school Macross ads triggers memories of stuff you have not seen in a while, but know you have...somewhere... For example, I was just posting an old ARII catalog for the 15th Macross Anniversary and in in going through the "Magazine for Anime and Hobby Fan booklets thread, I came across some of those same images.....like this one... ...I think some of the others also were used in the old Hobby Books from back in the day.... https://macrossworld.com/macross/books/_books_models.htm Cool stuf!
  20. Complete nostalgic OD.... I especially enjoy the vintage dioramas...nice stuff
