  1. Gerwalk is my favorite mode for most Valks. And you have to keep in mind that Gerwalk is one third of it's purpose. If two modes are near perfect and one is almost completely useless that's a fail in my book. I'd give it a 6 for a really tight fighter, awesome looking Battroid and 95% useless Gerwalk. I didn't like the Hi-Metal 19S because the Gerwalk wasn't poseable at all. I was hoping this release would fix that but the horribly broken Ankle design means that even though the legs can be displayed you really can't do much with the Gerwalk mode (not that it was a terribly poseable mode to begin with.) I'm really worried about the 17 now as well though that's one of the few I wouldn't bother with Gerwalk as much... it still needs to function correct regardless.
  2. With the ankles as they are now I will not buy an F and possibly not the P either. It's a really poor design especially for a $300 toy. At the very least the rear "toe" needs to click backwards so you can tuck the lower leg farther beneath the body of the 19. Right now all of the weight is precariously forward and the forward "toe"/ankle do not hold well enough for me to trust this. I'm pretty disappointed by this thing already.
  3. My mini-review. This thing frakking blows if you're a Gerwalk fan. I wouldn't say my ankle is loose, but the two moving toes are. And with the fact the ankle/toe cannot angle back plus the upper thigh cannot fold underneath another click the forward heaviness of this thing pulls it over every single time for me. To be honest I'm seriously disappointed in this thing. Fighter is cool, I haven't messed with it in Battroid yet. Gerwalk is next to useless for me, though, which is too bad because that's my favorite mode.
  4. frakking USPS took 48 hours to clear my 19S through customs. I won't see this thing until at least Monday.
  5. Did one of the two sites tell you it was in customs? Mine left Monday via EMS but I've got no indication it's held in customs yet.
  6. The FZ109F isn't good enough to have a Gerwalk figure too?
  7. I'm impressed. Got my payment request and confirmation in the mail yesterday. Woke up this morning to find shipping info. and it's already shipping internationally today.
  8. I wish they would post a transformation video for both of the Valks with Mr K like what we saw for the Kai just after it was released. I realize the 19S is exactly the same but I thought it was just good marketing to see each mode up close and very informative of what to expect... plus the new 19 is slightly different and that could be useful for us to know.
  9. Yeah, $301.25 for me! I can't believe how okay I am with that price too. I feel like I really should be more concerned... I don't know if that makes me spoiled, crazy or likely a combination of both.
  10. Yeah, despite the fun little fiction that surrounds all of these fighters the reality is that with the design as it is implemented canard-less just wouldn't work/look right in battroid mode.
  11. I think the problem with the idea of a canard-less VF-X-11 in toy form is that on the toy a good portion of the shoulder mechanism would be exposed in Battroid. It simply wouldn't look good. They'd have to come up with some new gimmick to cover it up or leave it as an eyesore.
  12. Is it a B or C or does it happen to both? I have two C's and no issues with the shield falling off.
  13. Okay, so I'm aware not every single one of you does it but it is a HUGE cultural export for you guys.
  14. Totally off topic, you're from Argentina? I'm addicted to Tango.
  15. It's nice to see the Battroid mode in a more dynamic pose now. It's still obviously a painted prototype.
  16. Agreed. And none of this DYRL repainted in SDFM color nonsense.
  17. The arm articulation is kind of weak in my opinion too. However the shield business seems relegated to you. Neither of my C's have an issue with their shields. Maybe the B had one?
  18. I think it would be cool if you could load down this V2. with triple gun pods like they have pictured in the Master File book too.
  19. It's from the VF-19 Master File book.
  20. Hmm, look at the difference in that lineart versus the photos. I wonder if it's just physically impossible to get that chest plate any lower. It sits flush with the shoulders in the line art whereas on those toys it's well above that, which is why the chin is obfuscated.
  21. Nine days in and she's already refusing to keep taking her medication. This is going to go over well.
  22. Bummer, looks like after this and 17 I will have to skip picking up the F variants or any more VF-25's. My Mom just had some major medical problems and she has no insurance so I'm covering all of it. First bill, $6000. That's the toy budget (and Christmas) so far.
  23. Yup, good example drawing Ignacio. The Hi-Metal 19 looks MESSED up in fighter mode because they attempted to change that. The only way I could possibly think to correct that is to make the fuselage area two pieces and have that bump click down a notch (kind of like on the back plate of the VF-1 in Battroid) though that would introduce a whole new look to complain about because then it wouldn't look flush like in the anime. Time to start raging again!
  24. Fastest I've had EMS delivered is three days to Albuquerque, New Mexico
  25. You're right, they definitely do need to show this thing off in various more dynamic poses to give people a better idea how it looks. From the Kai photos we can infer how great the VF-19 is going to look but there's no memory of this 17 to go off of in the same way (which is still a giant marketing error if you ask me.)
