  1. That's pretty much the definition of the 19...
  2. Mostly I'm asking because some people are talking like these toys are faulty and will immediately turn yellow within a year when I've had many all white toys (not just Valks) that have been going strong for ten years now. I suppose the Valks proper have been on for about four and show no signs of changing color. I mean, it took fifteen years but my SNES isn't the original color it used to be anymore so it's not like much darker plastics can't go bad either.
  3. Actually, I'd argue that the lack of ability to click the thigh more than three times was also a mark against it. The Bandai valks have smaller areas and they get a TON of movement there. That would make Gerwalk far more dynamic on the 19 in addition to the ankles.
  4. Maybe Godzilla would have heard/spotted a plane at lower altitude and attacked it? He thought Into Darkness was great, he's not immune from making bad decisions either. I like what they did the with the trailer. That short neck still gets me for some reason. Maybe flashbacks to the Broderick one? I mean, really, in a single silent shot of Bryan Cranston crying I saw more/better acting/emotion then 98% of what's out there (he's right, the eyes make all the difference.) Have they ever shown bodies strewn about in any other Godzilla before? The train clip is pretty intense imo.
  5. It's not a "revision." It's completely new engineering. It fits together tighter and better in all three modes. It's a completely new sculpt that looks better in all three modes. The body holds together in both Gerwalk and Battroid now so it isn't a floppy mess. There's better articulation (debatable in Gerwalk due to the type of ankles they went with.) Better quality plastic. Plus what Deadeye said, hardpoints, missiles, etc...
  6. How long does it take for Bright white plastic to yellow?
  7. I'm very much enjoying the go between for everyone's reasons why they prefer the 17 over the 171 and vice versa.
  8. Minus the breaking shoulders both the 171 and 17 are flawed toys in their own rights.
  9. Wait, what's your beef with the VF-4? The 17 is impossible to get correct in one mode or another without magic. Other's complain the fighter is too chunky... there's no way to reconcile the fighter/battroid.
  10. Can't you start playing games on both systems while they're still installing?
  11. I really wish I was better at stickering when I botched my 1J many years ago.
  12. If you ignore all of the exploding shoulder CF 171's or the fact the 171 is a bitch to transform compared to the 17 then yes, they make better toys. Yamato definitely made some mistakes with the 17 design but I wouldn't hold the 171 up as the reason why Bandai is better.
  13. I think there's a way to look at these new colored versions as a positive. At first I was a bit bummed that the 1S Hikaru I ordered won't match my three other 1A's or my Max 1S but after seeing all of these different Tenjin pics he never sticks to coloring any of the Valks the same anyway. I guess I can just think about it like it's a different take on the same valk.
  14. Some people just think the design looks cool too...
  15. I happen to think the Pwwka, Yurei and Waneta are all pretty cool designs. Well, the first two make sense for the first two modes. The third one looks cool in all three. Though with those circular bits on the wings they might make more sense as some form of harrier instead.
  16. BigBadToyStore sells them. Though I'm tempted to subscribe. Looks like they've had more hits than misses so far.
  17. I don't get the joke.
  18. Dunno if US releases are better but the fit/finish of the 1701 Refit has been widely reported to be terrible. Apparently the other releases have all been pretty good, though the fit on Voyager is a little spotty as well. And DS9 has been showing up with Pylons that aren't glued down well enough.
  19. Interesting. From the UK people I had heard the Ent-D was pretty good quality but there were a number of complaints about the Refit. Maybe they've fixed their production since the UK rollout?
  20. Nah, my original release DYRL Hikaru 1A has been sitting on my shelf since 2009 and it's still fine.
  21. So I guess those ruins we see in the trailers for Days of Future Past do have something to do with Apocalypse then.
  22. I can't believe I'm seeing these two sentences back-to-back. The only possible reason I could have enjoyed the first Wolverine movie is because of the girl I was laying with on the couch at the time I watched it... and I wish I had skipped the movie and gone right to other things with her.
  23. Yeah, after seeing those pics I was wondering the same thing. Having droopy wings because of that addition would suck.
