  1. If the 'Anniversary' in the title does refers to the 25th Anniversary, then this will be another project that came out too late just like the 25th Anniversary soundtrack. And also, it does not bode well for this new calendar if they are reusing an old pic in the promo.
  2. A bit of Robotech news: New Robotech Calendar!? http://www.robotechx...ndar.html#17688 What anniversary are they celebrating in 2012 again? Also i have a guess this new staffer could be one of the artist working for the Palladium Robotech RPG oops forgot about the wildstorm guys. It would make sense to hire someone who is already familiar with Robotech.
  3. I wish Rumiko Takahashi would consider continuing the Ranma 1/2 anime series 'coz it ended too abruptly. It would be great to see the Herb arc or the Saffron arc from the manga animated. Also, will this live action focus only on the main characters?
  4. The Haydonites are probably using nuclear reactors to power their ships and mecha. It makes you think why the REF/UEEF would rely solely on protoculture, a power source that requires a macguffin.
  5. Updates from Tommy Yune on the AE Home Entertainment Robotech DVD release. click me. Looks like they're going to take out the inserted Macross footage's and replace with something else, probably footage's from Southern Cross or Mospeada.
  6. Has SDF Macross or any of the US released Macross shows like Plus or II got released in South America? If not, then maybe they have never realized yet that Macross is a separate franchise.
  7. Looks like HG's legal team will be working overtime again coz two Macross F manga's may become available legally in the US thanks to JManga.
  8. Or a dream within a dream within a dream within a dream.
  9. Last time i checked, that boat is suppose to be stuck on a port somewhere in Asia.
  10. From what i'm getting, most of their projects are now delayed till 2012/13? So that basically means nothing for the rest of 2011. It would have made sense if they just reported it straight like: RTLAM: development hell Shadow Rising: on 'hiatus' until the RTLAM is finished 25th anniversary soundtrack: tentative 2012 release Carl Macek Tribute: tentative 2012 release RT sidequel: tentative 2012 release Toys: LOL we don't have any Palladium: maybe Kevin can finish at least one RT book? Also, Memo have been recording HG's convention tours, so he'll probably upload it on Youtube.
  11. There's already a plot detail for Pacific Rim floating around. The movie will be a Kaiju vs military mecha story, so they're way off on that speculation that it will be RTLAM. I heard that news of Tobey Maguire getting sued which got other well known Hollywood celebrities involved. Though i don't know how will it affect the RTLAM, which by now is already in development hell. As for Agrama's legal trouble, knowing that there are pro-HG mods there, discussing about it in the forums could get you banned. So it's not surprising that none are talking about it.
  12. Maybe they're going to release that in Japan as Robo Tech: Transbattler.
  13. That information Memo put up proves the opposite of what he's claiming. From this year up to 2014, WB will be busy setting uo their tent pole franchises, but with no mention of Robo-Tech. What does that tell you?
  14. It looks more like Mecha King Ghidora with no wings. Anyway, can the SDF-1 actually maintain in Gerwalk mode? Also, we know that the Macross need to transform in order to connect the power generator to the main cannon. Is this form suffice for the Macross to fire the main cannon?
  15. Imagine Kevin singing Elmer Fudd's 'Gwwilled Cheese Sandwich' song. Only instead of grilled cheese, it's gas.
  16. The RT Documentary is for those fans who can't go to the convention tour to listen to Tommy and friends talk about Robo-Tech's glory days. Now they have a chance to see Tommy and friends talk about Robo-Tech's glory days in their living room. Also, he forgot to mention the soundtrack.
  17. Tommy Yune: A man and a woman? A man and a woman?! Yak...Deculcha!!
  18. Right, the RTLAM isn't even in WB's top priority. For all we know, they could just sit on the Robotech license for 10 to 15 years. The RT fans shouldn't expect too much because they're heading for a big disappointment.
  19. Does China have a copyright laws? I remember hearing about well known manga's being plagiarized in China. On another note, it seems that Memo is convinced that a pic in the TPB that was taken from an episode of Mospeada/New Gen is new animation.
  20. Okay i just read Maverick's long explanation about the Berne Convention and how before the US joined in the late 80's, Robotech already had it's copyright enforced under the US copyright laws, and has this exemption from Berne Convention while also being covered by it when the US joined . Care to explain more about the US copyright act of 1978 and it's relationship to the Berne Convention?
  21. All i can say is, if they are going to talk the talk, they should know how to walk the walk. So far, HG hasn't proven that they can use the Macross designs in new animation. All they're doing is saying one thing then doing the opposite.
  22. Since HG won't be bothering SR until WB does something with the RTLAM, so i guess that storyline will be in 'indefinite hiatus' (no not Mckeever 'hiatus'). For now, all Robotech fans have is Tommy Yune's sidquels. (notice the 's' in sidequel? Yes, cause we'll definitely gonna see more of this until nothing is resolved)
  23. I think both show have their own storytelling style. Macross has a character driven plot that focus on the characters and their personal relationships with each other. On the other hand, Robotech is more story driven, which focus on the big picture (the large overarching storyline).
  24. Meh, Mckeever will probably never gonna get punished for his rude behaviors.
  25. How long will it be before Japan starts developing M.O.S.P.E.A.D.A power armors/motorcycle?
