I have never been successful at getting my version 1 into robot form. It just can't happen. The shoulders simply do not fit in properly. Honestly, it has sat in fighter form since the day I got it.

I'm with brand on this one. I love the material used on my revoltechs. They are a perfectly priced fun toy. Even if this thing was scaled as badly as a chunky, I'll totally be interested!

well, I'm gonna do a dark stain on the wood. But I hadn't thought of the rubber. that's an awesome idea!!!! You know, I'll be I could make more if I were made a little assembly line!

I accidentally bought a version 1 and I truly feel as if I was hosed. I might just crazy glue it into fighter mode.

I just got it assembled! Tomorrow I will take it apart and stain the wood. It's made of oak and plexi glass and will fit either a 1/60 or 1/48. after it's stained and I get it home to the ol' mantle, I'll post better pics

I know it's not a film and it went downhill but I maintain that sylar in the first season of heroes was perhaps the scariest villain ever.

great shot! I notice that you have some of the clear bandai stands on your upper shelf yamato valks.....do they fit easily? They're soooo much cheaper than those yamato stands

what valk would you put on it in fighter mode? All I have so far is: -1/60 v1 vf-1j (fast pack) -1/48 vf-1a cannon fodder -1/60 vf-1s roy (attack pack) either the roy of the cannon fodder. The cannon fodder is bigger, but isn't really an impressive "feature" on the mantle. oh...the woes. ( I have to build the apparatus to hold the valk so I need to decide for the precise measurements)

thanks! I didn't even know this series existed until I signed on to this forum. The saddest part is that I spent 3 months in hong kong last year and I didn't have the macross bug at all back then. To think of all the yamatos and bandaii I could have bought!!!!!

the torrented version I currently have looks amazing on my 40" tv. way better than the one I had a couple of years ago

I just started watching it the other day. Just finished episode 7. So far, the entire thing is amazing. it's a little hard to understand the established world, but once you catch on, it's fantastic. This is blowing away just about any other macross i have seen (and it's in serious competition with the original)

Thanks! The shipping sucked but there's no other alternative. The only store in toronto that sells these things charges almost $250 for a 1/48 stealth vf-1s. Thanks for the advice. (BTW, I did a show at the high school in your town a few years back. I hear that the film festival you guys do is pretty cool)

I'm buying my first vf-1 1/60. It's the roy 1s (on sale from over-drive) and I wanna get the attack pack stuff too. will they all fit on? also, what's the deal with duty here? I'm in Canada and have never figgered out when we do or do not pay duty on things...

I'm seriously jonesing for a roy 1s and a hikaru 1j. But I understand that the new ones are built a lot better than the earlier releases. Do you think they will eventually re cycle through the valks and upgrade them to the newer quality? for example, if I bought a new roy, is there still a risk of broken shoulder?
