  1. Wing sagging is not an issue, unless you consider at most a hairline gap a problem. This IMO is usually caused the user accidently touching the wing and moving it slightly downwards and not sagging due to gravity. In fighter mode, the soles of the feet are only visible directly from the rear or slightly visble from the underside view. To be honest, when looking at the plane from the back, it just looks like mechanical detail to me. It certainly doesn't scream 'FEET" and is not distracting in any way. The toy is really a marvel of design and engineering. It locks together so well in fighter mode. Will try battroid mode later tonight. Off to watch Frontier # 9 again. Graham
  2. Not sure when they are out, but I've be given the green light to post me review on June 3rd. Now, I just gotta write the damn thing......LOL. Will take photos and start on the test tomorrow. Graham
  3. Fantastic episode. Great action. I think it was the usual animation studio (Nara?) on character art duties. The character art look fine to me. Perhaps a little rushed in a couple of scenes, but they definitely captured the established look of the chracters. Can't wait for the fansub. Graham
  4. Keyhole TV is great. Had it installed and watching ep 9 within 2 minutes. Only caught the last 10 mins though Graham
  5. Crossing fingers for some VF-171 battroid love in this episode. Graham
  6. Yay, from that image it looks like as we suspected the regular animation studio is back handling character animation duties for this episode. Graham
  7. No, the seat does not oorotate in the cockpit. The only Yamato toys with rotating seats are the VF-0 series and the new YF-21. Graham
  8. I'm a little leery about committing to a 1 year subscription, when we don't know how many issues there will be yet in total. It may only turn out to be 10 issues for example. If it's less than 24 issues, then does Overdrive refund the balance? Graham
  9. Actually, I find the 11 very poseable. Yes, the Gunpod and hands are out of scale, but poseability of the arms and legs is great. Knees and elbows go over 90 degrees, probably around 110 - 120 degrees. I've got my 11 in some really cool poses.
  10. If transformed and positioned correctly, the feet won't hang out the back like that. And yes, that piece is the stand adaptor. Of course, they are still visible when viewed diorectly from the rear of the plane. Graham
  11. The new Shonen Ace containing episode 6 came out a few days ago, but I've been stuck manning a booth at an exhibition for the last three days, so haven't been able to look for it until today. The one shop I had time to check at lunch today was already sold out. Graham
  12. Heck, let's just rename it "The Green Squirrel Show" and make it about the slapstick adventures of everybody's favourite panty loving green alien squirrel. To hell, with mecha, action, the Vajra, story etc.....who needs em'. Each episode can be about how our hero the squirrel has to collect a pair of panties from a different female character each week, "Gotta collect em' all". I bet ratings would soar. Graham
  13. OK, I really, really don’t understand the Japanese anime viewing public at all. Episode 7 with its tense, exciting, well choreographed and superbly animated battle scenes only gets 1.8%, whereas the poorly animated, slapstick comedy filler that is episode 8 gets a whopping 3%! All I can think of is that word of how awesome episode 7 was spread, so lot’s more people tuned in to see episode 8. After watching 8, we'll probably get a ratings drop for 9 as IMO episode 8 may have turned off some views, but wadda’ I know anyway? I hope BW and Satelight after seeing these rating don't decide to rewrite the rest of Frontier and cut out all the action and mecha scenes and fill the remainder of the episodes with non-stop slapstick, in an effort to boost ratings. Graham
  14. I'm really loving the sculpt on the VF-25 battroid and Gerwalk. The VF-25 is fast becoming one of my favorite VF designs. Graham
  15. Won't have time to handle the production toy I brought until Friday night at the earliest. However, the pre-production sample that I handled extensively had a hinged fold down locking bar to lock the torso together in battroid mode. Graham
  16. Another theory. Perhaps the Vajra, or whoever is controlling them have the technology to create these fold dislocations and created this one intentionally, to slow down the movement of the Frontier and Galaxy fleets. This could explain why the Vajra carrier appeared to be immune to the effects of the Fold Dislocation. Graham
  17. Just picked mine up from the Animate in Causeway Bay. It was the last one in stock (yes, I do actually have to buy my own toys). Will get working on the review on the weekend. Graham
  18. Phone game or not, I want it. Graham
  19. Any news on the ratings for ep 8 yet? Graham
  20. As I've mentioned before, security on colony ships has always seemed pretty poor. In Mac 7, Gigile and several Varauta soldiers with some FZ-109 weree able to penetrate City 7 and remain hidden for a loong time. Graham
  21. Wow, that diorama set looks awesome. Definitely getting them. My only complaint, no Ozma type VF-25S with Armored pack. Graham
  22. I also got the feeling that Ranka recognized Brera. Graham
  23. Lineart of the VF-25 definitely exists. You can see two examples of it in the attached photo from the recent Shizuoka Hobby Show, which also shows the resin prototype of the 1/72 scale Ozma VF-25S tansformable plastic model kit. In the photos line art is shown of the underside of the VF-25's shield and also the underside of the fuselage (chest and back plate area), sans arms, legs and nose. In the shield lineart, you can clearly make out where the knife is stored. Can't wait to see more lineart. Graham
