  1. Yeah, having two of the first release VF-31F, I have absolutely no desire to buy the newer version.

Bandai would be better of re-releasing the VF-31A and VF-31J Kai IMO.

    Ya know?

Was rewatching MPlus again and noticed this scene:

    yf-19-missiles.jpg.9b6b7434f5f326050ad0f5e45d200318.jpg

    According to M3 site, it's the BMM-24 micro-missiles.

Checked my DX YF-19 stuff, and nope.  Not included.

Checked Arcadia's 1/60  from anymoon, and nope. Not included as well.

So both Bandai and Arcadia excluded the BMM-24s in favor of various missiles and stuff that weren't even in the anime.

    I remember the Yammie VF-19 variants and Bandai Hi-Metal VF-19S having micro-missiles.

Guess it's something to look forward to if both Arcadia and Bandai somehow do a 1/60v3 and a DX YF-19v2.0. respectively...

    <_<

The micro-Missiles are stored in the leg FAST Pack, so of course they are not going to be included as separate pieces.

    hmm.

how about the features/stuff that we all saw with the VF-1D/VF-1J/VF-1S in the old TV anime...

-- integrated rotating and elevating pilot-seat that can pop out the back of the head when in battroid instead of an add-on like in the 1/60v2. The 1/60 Zero, VF-19 and VF-22 valks have some limited rotating seats done already, tho not elevating.

-- actual swiveling/turning front landing gear.

    -- spring-loaded firing missiles.

    -- integrated side covers.

-- integrated collapsible fixing toolkit on the arm.

-- better looking detailed and well-proportioned pilot figure. both with and without helmet.

Yes, to all apart from spring-loaded firing missiles .  Just no thanks, mainly because there would likely be at least an ugly semi-exposed firing buttons/mechanisms.

My holy grail would be your first point, a rotating seat pilot that can raise up out of the top of the chest when in Battroid mode.

Lol, I'm not too concerned with it either way. Of all the Valks I've ever owned, I've only ever displayed one on landing gears for any amount of time other than just to check it out for that moment. It's the equivalent of displaying action figures in a static, straight standing up pose to me. Maybe that will change if I ever get a diorama to display Valks taking off/landing.

I'm the opposite, mine are mostly in fighter mode resting on landing gear,

Do you own other 31 toys? Do you own a VF-19Advance?

    I own:

    2 x VF-31J + 2x Super Packs.

    2x VF-31F + 1x Super Packs.

    2x VF-31C .

    1x VF-31A.

    1x VF-31S.

    And

    2x VF-19Advance.

Engineering and design wise I consider the 31 a far superior toy to the 19.

  6. I've always loved the YF-19 design and kinda want the Bandai DX, mainly for the arm cannon and wing missiles.

To be honest though, athough I did initially love the VF-19Advance when I first got it,  I've kinda gone off it mainly because the front landing gear mid-strut hinge got so loose  on mine that it collapses if you look at it wrongly and also the too shallow canard angle of the Bandai  quite annoys me.

  7. Trying to decide, buy either YF-19DX or VF-31Kai DX?

Can only afford one not both.

It's always irked me that my original pre-order for the 31Kai was rejected.

  8. I grew up reading 2000AD from the age of 8 and now at nearly age 49 I'm still  subscribing and reading it, along with the Judge Dredd Megazine.

I love Ezquerra's work on Strontium Dog, Judge Dredd and the Stainless Steel Rat adaptations, as well as more recently Cursed Earth Coburn.

The man was a huge talent and had a enormous impact on the British comics scene since the 70s. He will be sorely missed.

Hmm...  I would've thought most of us got the 1/55 Valks first, then got the 1/60, then got the 1/48, then got the 1/60 v.2, then got the HMRs later on.

But maybe most of us aren't as old as I am...

That's me, except I didn't bother with the  HMRs, never liked them.
