Star Wars: Clone Wars animated series
Graham replied to BoBe-Patt's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I just think the name Savaage Opress sounds quite feminine, especially the 'Opress' part. In fact the first time I heard the name, I misheard and though it was Savage O'breast.....LOL! But yes, apart from episode 2, this season has been one big fail. Graham- 1217 replies

I seem to remember someone (maybe Keith?) mentioning that one of the recent Gundam PSP games had levels with multiple maps and you could move from map to map. I wonder if MTF will have this feature also? Graham

Same here. Huge fan of the comic book, but still undecided about the series. Graham

I wonder if we will get Macross the First mecha in this game? The Macross the First VF-1J Hikaru would be a nice addition. Graham
-
Hoping for VF-2JA this time. And of course the Zent powered suit from the opening fight of Mac Plus OVA ep 1. And full M3 and VF-X2 campaigns would be great. Me wants a VA-3M as well. And while we are at it, how about: VF-3000 Crusader, VF-5000B and FAST Packs for the VF-17D/S and VF-19F/S. And I doubt they will majke it into this game, but the new VF-19EF and VF-19EFs from Macross The Ride would be great as well. Graham

Looks like they finally made some fixes to the VF-19Kai model (and hopefully by extension, to the VF-19F/S/P, as well) I see tail fins in the correct location and straighter/longer LERX (although still not 100% correct). Oh well, it only took them 3 games to get it mostly right! Doesn't look like there have been any improvements to the graphics. Oh well, I can live with that. Probably more due to the PSP lack of processing power than anything. I really hope e can go straight to the main game and skip the Mihoshi Acadamy stuff completely. From the screen caps, it looks like something I'd have no interest in. Graham
-
That's good, on the official page, I notice a pic of both the VF-19kai and YF-21. Graham
-
Also not much interest in th Mihoshi & Ex-Gear stuff. Hope this game still has full Zero, SDFM, DYRL, Plus & 7 campaigns.

Not that I've found yet. But I know what the cover looks like now, so I'm going to see if I can find it when I get off work. Cover pic attached. Graham

Yeah, maybe I made a mistake about this. Need to check again carefully. Graham

Yeah, getting ahead of myself a bit. It will likely turn out not to be true. Graham

This 'Campus' feature in Macross Triangle Frontier, doen't sound particulaly appealing to me as a main selling point. I have little interest in creating a customizable character, especially as if some gaming websites are saying, you need to spend 2-5 hours creating your character and boosting its stats before you can actually play the main game. Would rather just use a stock character and fly the VFs! Not really interested in the cut scenes of Ranka and Sheryl in bikinis, gym wear etc. Graham

Getting to like the look of the VF-19EF more each time I see it. Graham

Anybody know what the cover of the new issue of Famitsu looks like? I can try to pick it up at lunch today. Just wondering if the writer of that article is getting confused the PS3 game. Graham

I will be so happy if we are getting a new PSP game. They better bloody well get the VF-19 model right this time though! And have me beloved VF-17's gunpod actually be a gunpod, not a beam weapon (the beam attack should just be the special attack). Hope we get the VF-19EF and ES from Macross The Ride as well. Graham

Interesting, I wonder what is the reason for keeping the the best technologies on Earth. Is it fear of rebellion by the coloney fleets/planets? Or possibly not wanting the best technology to fall into enemy hands/give a new enemy a true idea of Earth's real defence capabilities, should an all new enemy be encountered by the fleets. Graham

It's a novelization, that is being serialized in the monthly Dengeki Hobby magazine. Hopefully, it will be more of a photo-novel or novel with lots of pictures, rather than just pure text. The title is somewhat misleading. It is not an actual ride. Graham Interesting, I hadn't heard of that term before. Graham

Here's two more pages from the latest issue of Dengeki Hobby magazine, which I missed before. These two pages, may give us some idea what the novelization is going to be like. Graham

Bandai 1/100 VF-2SS Valkyrie II Super Armed Pack worth it?
Graham replied to GU-11's topic in Model kits
It's simple if it's anything about a Macross model kit (which this is), it belongs in the model forum. Graham -
Here's the pics originally posted by Kresphy in the Scoop thread. Thanks to Kresphy. My comments in the first post, refer to the differences, between the folding wing 19 variant shown in this sketch and the Hasegawa model conversion. And the link to the official site: http://hobby.dengeki...ss_r/index.html Graham

More pages from this month's "Macross The Ride" article from the new issue of Dengeki Hobby magazine (Jan 2011 issue). That concludes all the "Macross The Ride" pages from this month's issue. Enjoy. Graham

Will scan in the whole Dengeki article tomorrow. And in the magazine, it is written as "VF-19EF Caliburn". In the meantime, here's scans of two of the pages, including some new Kawamori lineart. Graham

Ah, if the Google translation of the Dengeki 'Macross The Ride" website is correct, that might not actually be a CG pic, but rather a conversion of the Hasegawa 1/72 scale YF-19 model kit, which would explain the discrepancies with Kawamori's sketch. And calling the VF-19E 'Monkey Model', is hardly a complimentary name! How do we go from the original cool sounding 'Excalibur', to fricken 'Monkey model'!???????? Graham

Noticing some differences between the rough Kawamori VF-19EF/ES(?) sketch, the VF-19EF CG pic and older VF-19 (A/F/F/S/P)variants. Initial comments/thoughts: - The rough Kawamori sketch of the VF-19EF/ES(?) seems to have the extended Leading Edge Root Extensions (LERX) of the VF-19Kai/F/S/P, whereas the CG pic of the VF-19EF seems to show a LERX shaped somewhere between the kinked LERX of the YF-19/VF-19A and the more streamlined extended LERX of the VF-19Kai/F/S/P. The VF-19EF/ES(?) sketch seems to lack the vernier ankle ring of the VF-19Kai/F/S/P, but does seem to be an all new type of lower leg, as it also seems not to be the same as the YF-19/VF-19A either. Canards in both the sketch and CG pic look smaller than the canards on the YF-19/VF-19A/Kai. Nice to see that the wing-root lasers are still present on the CG pic, although I note that on the Kawamori sketch, they seem to be covered with some sort of blanking panel(?). The sketch seems to have some sort of auxiliary intake(?) on the LERX, whereas the CG pic does not. The vertical tails seem quite small and seem to be positioned somewhere between those of the VF-19kai/F/S/P and the YF-19/VF-19A, i.e. from the CG pic they appear to be spaced outboard as per the VF-19kai/F/S/P, but not as far outboard as we are used to seeing for those models. The folding main wing is interesting. A new high-speed mode perhaps? The shoulder nacelles are also interesting an appear likely to contain some type of weapon. Anyway, nice to see a new 19 variant(s). I wonder who will get the toy rights? Even if this is a novelization, if it is anything like the monthly Gundam novelizations in Dengeki Hobby, it will have lots of pretty pictures. Graham
