When I clicked on the link, it asked me to download it as a real player download and now it's in my real player library and I can watch it anytime. Anybody know what the background music that plays in the video is? Graham

Finished the Macross 7 campaign last night all except the last mission which is the Fleet of Strongest Women mission, which I haven't tried yet. So far I have unlocked the VF-11C w/FPs & Armor, VF-17D/S/S Milia w/FPs, VF-19F w/FPs, VF-22S Millia, VF-17T Kai, VF-11MAXL Kai. Varauta ships seem more detailed in MTF. Variable Fighters seem to have the same amount of detail, except the 19 variants which have been redrawn with the correct LERX and correct tail fins. No sign of the VF-11D so far. Got S grade for about 50% of the missions and mostly A grade with a few B grade for the remaining missions. Missions do seem easier than MUF. Only one mission in the Macross 7 camapaaign gave me a bit of difficulty, when I had to figh Max & Millia's VF-22S. Missions do seem mostly unchanged from MUF, except perhaps the operation Stargazer mission which now seemed more accurate to the TV series (although maybe I'm forgetting what the MUF mission was like). Decided to try the Macross Plus campaign next. It was a tough choice between Macross II or the Frontier movie campaign, but I really wanted to see if they had finally included the Powered Suit from episode 1 of Macross Plus OVA. They haven't. I still don't get why. Oh, noticed something a bit odd. While mecha can be tuned through tune points or through the shop, same as in MUF, FAST packs can only be tuned with tune points, you cannot buy upgrade points for FAST packs in the shop. And FAST Packs have a higher tune limit than the base VF. For example, the VF-17D, has a tune limit of 14,665, where as the FAST Pack is 38,962, so it's going to take a while to get the FPs tuned to the limit. Graham

Not sure about the DVD (need to watch it again), but on the Bluray rip I downloaded, it had the Prophecy. Graham
-
No, it doesn't look like the tune points carried over . Shame as I had all my mecha in MUF up to 99999 points. Found out how to lock the 'Missile M' onto a single target instead of multiple targets as normal. Hold down the left shoulder button together with the 'O' missile buton. Graham
-
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing as well. Just to note, game play is pretty much the same as MUF, although the the way the missiles lock-on is visually a bit different, with the lock on triangles. Not sure if it means something. Also, the colors for the range-to-enemy distance seem to be reversed. IIRC in MUF, close range was green, but in MTF, close range is pink. Otherwise, all good. Being able to have the atmospheric FPs for the VF-11C is great. Graham

Just discovered that FAST Pack weapons can now be levelled up as well! I swear the developes of this game, must have been reading the Macrossworld MUF thread, asso many of our wishes have been added to this game. Played 5 missions of the M7 campaign so far, got S grade on 3 of them. No character stat increase so far. Graham
-
Haven't figured out how to do the new thing of locking all your multi-lock missiles onto one target yet. Unfortunately, I left the instruction manual at work. Graham
-
No idea about the character stats. Only played 3 missions of the M7 campaign so far. Tune points and shop points for mecha seems the same as MUF, so levelling up mecha is no problem, just not sure about characters. I hope it's not a case of having to play the academy, as based on my initial, 5 minute attempt at it, it may be unplayable for non-Japanese readers. Even if it is playable, sitting through page after page of stills of characters sprouting text was prety boring for me, which is why I gave up. Graham
-
Yay, at long last the VF-17 has a proper gunpod, so the VF-17 can be flown and fought as it's supposed to be. Graham
-
Tried academy mode, created a character ok, but then too many pages of talking stills to go through......gave up. Started on Macross 7 campaign, it has atmospheric fighter mode FPs for tbe VF-11C.........yay! Graham

Just went though a long load process, but still won't let me chose the second option. Chose second option, then asked to chose pilot, wingman operator etc. Now has gone into noraml mission mode that we are used to. Graham

Game updates my PSP to version 6.31. Hmm........on starting MTF, 5 or 6 'Attention' screens popped up in succession, prompting me to chose 'yes'. No idea what they are asking though.....Hahahah! After getting used to the 'veiw even in blazing daylight' AMOLED screen of my Samsung 'Galaxy S' smartphone, the PSP screen seems positively antiquated. Presented with 2 choices, which I guess are the Mi-Wishy-Washy academy mode (no interest ATM) or the normal VF mission mode. Chose the second one - screen now going though a load cycle 1% to 100% (maybe loading old stats from MUF?) Drums fingers, on 61%........

Cute bar-wenches, actually. And they can never get enough of me Graham Just putting in the UMD now. As much as this may sound like blasphemy, beer comes first........LOL! Graham

We'll, if I can't find it today, I won't have a chance to look again until I have some free time on Saturday, as from tomorrow, it's the Chinese New Year Holiday and I have stuff to do with my wife's family. Heck, even on Saturday when I have some free time, all the game shops may well be closed beacuse of the holiday. So it may be next week before I can pick it up Graham

Heh, yeah it always seemed that way to me. Graham

Star Wars: Clone Wars animated series
Graham replied to BoBe-Patt's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
So did I. In fact I thought last weeks episode was pretty much a self contained story, with no need for immediate follow up (perhaps following up in season 4 instead). In fact I'm surprised they are staying with this. I really hope we are going to see some Clone and Droid action soon. Graham- 1217 replies

I've met Tenjin once last year in Tokyo and had drinks and dinner with him, big thanks to MWer Save for setting it up. Tenjin is a super cool dude, speaks pretty good English as well. He's also a Facebook friend, which is how I asked him about the book's release date. Graham

If you want a VF-171 / VF-171EX / RVF-171 toys, the only choice at the moment is the 1/250 scale fighter mode toys from series 4 of Bandai's Macross Fighter Collection. Quite nice little toys actually. I expect we will see a VF-17 from Yamato before we see a VF-171 DX from Bandai. Graham

Looks like it may be out in Japan already, or at least 1 person has it. I just checked Yahoo Japan Auctions again and a new auction is just up, with a pic of the actual box. When I checked earlier today, all the other auctions just used the generic publicity pics. Graham

Big West and/or Bandai seem to be keeping the YF-29's battroid and gerwalk modes a secret so far, although we can all pretty much guess what it it will look like, apart from the head. I guess they don't want to reveal it until closer to the movie, which is one of the reasons why I doubt we will see it in MTF. Checked the games shops near my work at lunch today, just in case it got an early release, but no luck Graham

You do know that amazon.co.jp will ship books to the US and their site has a switch to English option, so ordering is simple. Graham

How is the canopy changed? Any pics from the manga to support this? Graham

I hope 4-5 years later, we'll be seeing Macross Frontier Valks from Yamato. Graham

From my limited experience at looking at friends Japanese phones when I've visited Tokyo & Kyoto, I'd say that pre-iPhone & Android era, Japanese phones were definitely superior to anything from Nokia, Motorola, Sony Ericsson etc. In the present iPhone & Android era, I think Japanese phones have been surpassed.
