  1. Bit disappointed that the player doesn't use the Tornado pack's twin beam cannons in the video. I would have liked to see them. I use them all the time in MTF, when using the Tornado Pack. Graham
  2. I like 'em naked too Graham
  3. Ok, just transformed it to battroid mode for the first time. Transformation is a snap and only took a couple of minutes. Certainly much easier than that pain-in-the-ass YF-29 to transform Make sure to read the instructions though, as there are a couple of places you could get caught out: 1) Pull the gunpod handle (pistol grip) down first though before extending and opening the gunpod barrel cocver. Pulling down the handle unlocks the gunpod. If you don't and try to force uopen the gunpod, you may break it. 2) Also, as per the instructions, make sure to angle the shoulder plates back and downwards, as this sets up the correct backplate postion to lock the neck-peice in place. Anyway, a few quick snaps attached again. Really need a new camera, my 7 year old Canon IXUs 750 camera is really showing it's age . Heck, I should probably use the 8MP camera on my Galaxy S2, as it's far superior to my old Canon. Graham
  4. A few quick snaps of fighter mode on the stand. Graham
  5. Took mine out of the box last night. It's absolutely beautiful. This is the VF-25 toy that we should have had all along. I haven't even transfomed it yet, just been marvelling at the beauty of it in fighter mode. The molding and detail is so crisp and precise compared with the v.1. Will try first transformation later today. Graham
  6. Watched the DVD last night. No idea what was being said, but visually a very trippy movie. Still hasn't made me like the YF-29 design though. Can't wait for some subs. Graham
  7. Hahahahaha! Up yours Gundam, indeed! Graham
  8. Just bought mine in a shop in Fanling Center, Fanling. They only had one. Price was HK$1,380. Graham
  9. Mine still does nothing for me. Really not into the design and the fuggin' shoulder armour still pisses me off. See if I like it more after watching the movie. If not, may sell mine. Graham
  10. Wow, super quick service from Amazon JP! I only placed my order for the DVD last week, but when I got home from work last night, there is was sitting on my table at home waiting for me Can't believe it arrived on the same day it was released. Orders from Japan usually take 3-4 days to reach Hong Kong. And the DVD came with a film strip which surprized me. I thought it was only the Blu-ray disks that had the film strip. I remember my DVD of the first movie didn't include a film strip. Anyway, my filmstrip is (I think) a Vajra head). No chance to watch it yet, will do so at the weekend. Graham
  11. I also agree. Some discussion and/or clarification is sometimes warranted on new news items. Graham
  12. Finally got around to start watching Black Lagoon. Just about to watch episode 4. Enjoyed eps 1-3. Graham
  13. Yeah, also been checking Yahoo Japan Auctions every hour and still nothing Graham
  14. Ha ha, remember pissing her off on Facebook one time when I mentioned rabbit pie.............LOL! Graham
  15. Thank you for pointing that out. Yamato is no way responsible for the crappy exchange rate. Graham
  16. Possibly the sub-tropical warm and humid (at least in spring and summer) environment in Hong Kong has something to do with it(?). Graham
  17. And still wondering what is a super pat? Sounds kinda kinky! (especially as in Cantonese "pat pat" means bottom/ass/arse) Graham
  18. I'd love Yamato to make a 1/60 Fz-109. Graham
  19. Nope. While the base transformation is 99% the same, apart from the folding nosecone of the VF-171, nearly every part on the VF-171, with the exception of the gunpod and perhaps the hands is completely different to the VF-17 and would require 100% new tooling to make. Basically, you cannot make a VF-171 by just slapping a longer nose, different canopy and wings on a VF-17. The difference are far greater than that. Same sort of situation with the YF-19 and VF-19Kai/F/S/P. While at first glance they look similar to the untrained eye, nearly every part is completely different, Graham
  20. Actually, rather than stickers (which would really look like crap), Bandai if they wanted could probably make one Super Pack set for all VF-25 variants, using swappable plug-in colour plastic pieces where required, except possibly for the intake covers, which may be too thin to accomadate removeable parts. The leg, shield and dorsal(back) Super parts have no different colour markings, so they are common between Alto/Ozma/Micheal/Luca. The big wing boosters only have the colour band around the tip which is different, so that part could easily be made a swappable plug-in colour piece. The chest armour again is mostly grey with only the left and right coloured raised sections. These sections could easily be made as swappable parts. The shoulder missile launchers could also have swappable different colour hatches. So really the only parts of the Super Pack that would need to be duplicated for all for colours would be the intake covers. Graham
  21. Just checked Yahoo Japan Auctions and still no sign of it being out in Japan either. Graham
  22. Yes, due to the higher quality factory Yamato is using recently, plus price increases in China and increased material costs, Yamato told me their production cost has risen 2.5 times in the past year They are also not happy about it, but would rather use this high quality factory. Graham
  23. No, I love it and will be getting multiples. Graham
  24. Problem is that side view art which everybody is comparing the toy to is terribly inaccurate as well. The legs, intakes, micro-missile ports, feet are all impossibly slim. Graham
