yeah Brera was hiding and even had the evil eye flash in the darkness which usually in anime means that a bad guy is about to pounce or something sinister is watching.

I like how it wasn't stuck on anime but focused on all sort of otaku realizing that it's just a common trend in a variety of interests from airsoft otaku to porn otaku.

I was wary of this from the beginning, voice acting just isn't very good quailty, it seems like it always draws on the very small talent pool here in North America. Contrast with the 80s where there was an explosion of animation and cartoons and you had some seriously good actors with a lot of work available.

Is the shiny thing on the left hand of Luca's VF the crystal lens thingy? Supposedly used to control ghosts? I wondered why the camera zoomed into it as if its a point of focus for Alto.

I still have no idea what Alto and gang studies in the school. What is their curriculum? Are everyone from the school potential fighter pilots, or is it a normal school with many vocations like Zentraedi farming?

I'm not a big fan of NUNS or the NUNS logo. It's kind of strange and not very iconic. A Macross series needs the UN SPACY kite.

What I want to know is what these leg markings are. They look like letters, but nothing like English.. to be honest, they remind me of the computer screen text you sometimes see in Star Wars. Anyone have any ideas? I didn't see enough of the legs to know what this might be.

Just looks like the typical Japanese futuristic font for random mecha lettering and designs like all the Wave Rider stuff on Gundam a few years ago.

The backgrounds actually have stars and nebulae and poo in them. What's up with them being pitchblack is crappy screen brightness, I'd say.

Hmmm... from the preview seems like Ranka is already starting at Alto's school (although I kind of preferred the orignal white unifrom she was wearing ). Anyone think that the Galaxy and Frontier fleets will link up? I'm guessing there's a high probability since from what we saw a good deal of it's escort fleet got thrashed. (I'm basing this off from the preview since Sheryl still got time to goof off in an EX suit instead of getting ready to go back to the Galaxy )

Looked more to me like it was a silly anime convention of THEY ALL GOTO SCHOOL TOGETHER NOW (including Sheryl!!!)

I don't have to say youtube doesn't do it justice do I? There's one scene in episode 19 where they zoom way out from the characters and let their movements tell you what they are saying, no dialogue used at all. that's how good this show is.

I do agree that people bitching about Frontier being average is stupid.. but Frontier isn't near the best for 2d animation.. it's way better than average of course though.. though episode 8 looks to bring it down a notch or two overall...

The quality is not that spectacular in Seirei no Moribito, the amount of drawn frames is still very low and the colors plain, boring, dark, pastel, and flat...(CG color fill tool) despite the proportions and style looking nice. For quality animation with detail, depth, ridiculous amounts of dynamic shading, and many smooth frames, you have to go back to the pre-CG era where they still drew and hand-painted cells.

That was such a "MAIN CHARACTER CALLS OUT SPECIAL MOVE" and red kanji in blood appears before the attack scene.

Klan Klein seems to know Micheal from when they were kids. Michael was the classic little boy who cried all the time and KK had to cheer him up to tell him to be a man (when he was a toddler).

I'm guesing that they were childhood friends/enemies (she was the little girl who punched him everyday on the way to school) but she never grew up when micloned!

This also means she is the girl next store and they will end up together.

Man, I keep thinking that song (at the end and the one that Ranka remembers from her childhood) is VOICES from Macross Plus. It sounds very familiar to something else I've heard. Anybody know what it is that I'm being reminded of? My brain won't work.
