Wow. That lion is pretty big. How will I explain this to my guinea pig? As Exo says, that "action" feature flaws an otherwise cool entry into the history of Voltron toys. I love the CLICK CLACK CLICK CLACK ratcheting of the toy; can you say SOLID? Someone should send that video and maybe the lion to Yamato so they could learn a thing or two. But, at $80 per kitty I might have to pass. Lol @ the "coffin" Voltron from the 80's-talk about a hideous toy. PS: Saw a coupla shots of the completed Voltron and....it's not the greatest looking Go-Lion in the world. But, I guess that's understandable since we're dealing with a Tonka-like version of the lion team. Also, I can only wish that Sven was packed with Blue Lion and not teary-eyed Alura...

Yeah, I guess she's probably popping up more now. I'm just not willing to drive around to look for her, so even at $20 it's worth it to me...

You shoulda' bought them and resold them on ebay; there're idiots like me who will pay twice her retail just to have that fine feline in their house...

Aiy, but don't quote me on it-this is just stuff I was reading off of a T-cats forum. You know how misinforming and out of control a cartoon message forum can be...

The 6"? Heck I wouldn't be surprised if that's what the 4" is going for these days. I checked one Wal*Mart and gave up-bought both 4" and 6" on ebay for easily twice the retail price but...I just had to have her. It's hard to find Thundercat ANYTHING out here...

If you're asking when the new episodes are airing I "believe" it's in early March. Now, I ended up buying the 6" Cheetara but I'm wondering if anyone knows if they're going to do more than the 3 other figures they have in that size? Any of you guys buying the figures/toys?

Based on my previous comment I think I'd be more inclined to drink Kate's bathwater than to actually see the movie. I dunno...

The computer and electronics super geek thread
myk replied to azrael's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I'm "guessing" that there are some receivers that can convert signals-you'd have to determine if yours is capable of doing such a thing. I know that with mine all in and out going signals have to be the same type... -
I felt the same way about the DOA video games; they were trying so hard to emulate big beautiful mouth watering bouncy breasts that the motions became laughable. Hell, in the second DOA volleyball game you had boobs bouncing and rotating independent of the other lol. Those crazy game designers...

What features are those? I kept that girl in the box...

Right. Actually, I did run into a bit of a problem, in that I forgot the password to my wireless router so the PS3 couldn't access the network. Other than that, easy stuff...

Drooool. I have two of those statues, full ones btw; the topless chick with the sword and the grey hair, and the sultry redhead in the front-center. Expensive stuff. I need to stay the hell out of this thread...

Hey you can totally download whatever and upload it to your PS3; I used to do that with my machine when I was convinced that the evil PSN network would destroy my life. If you decide to go online there's no "set up" involved, really. You just follow the prompts and you're there-not difficult at all.

Yeah thanks for posting this; this dvd's been calling to me from the shelves at Wal*Mart. Thankfully, I can now easily choose to buy Thundercats 2011 season 1 instead...

Soft focus lens, eh? I've always wondered how to take pictures of these ladies with decent results...

That explains everything, then. I knew it had something to do with bringing the game over into the states and the people here trying to adapt a Japanese product. Anyway, seeing your member name is making me fantasize about buying a Capcom Vs SNK arcade machine that I know is for sale. LOL!

What gets me is that they actually managed to find the marquee, bezel/overlay and the side graphics. Even when this game was new back in the day I don't ever remember seeing machines in this good of a shape, or even any machines with the side graphics. I talked to the guy that services the arcade machines at my work and they tell me that even without ebay most shops have tons of vintage arcade material, and even if one person doesn't have something, another person or shop almost always does have that rare part. One thing that always made me wonder, including this game, is why the art work on the cabinets doesn't always match up with the game content? Meanwhile, I'm planning to additional fan-cooling for the innards; this thing gets hot!

I actually, really loved the sound track to that game; seems like I'm not the only one either, as they tend to fetch a lot on ebay and such. Was SOR ever an arcade game? Anyway here are some shots of my machine:

Been reading up on the CPS systems. Interesting how the CPS1 systems were easily bootlegged, hence the CPS2 versions that required regional-matched "A" and "B" boards to work. Also read about the "Capcom Suicide" deal, where the battery-powered CPS2 boards would lose the ability to run because their voltage dropped too low and the decryption data became lost. I guess one can either send the boards off to Capcom for repair/revival or get a CPS board that has been 'modded to get around the battery enabled encryption. I'm seriously tempted to start buying CPS 1 boards, especially Street Fighter 2, since all I would need is the kick harness and a new 6 button control layout. And, since this is all designed around the warm and happy JAMMA system, I guess I could start buying CPS2 board systems also. Dammit. Another money and time sucking hobby to contend with...
 -
Ok ok I think I got it: the cabinet accepts a JAMMA based board. The CPS is a JAMMA based board with a secondary board that contains the game itself. To play any other CPS game I need to only swap the game-board on the CPS main board, which stays in the cabinet. To play a non-CPS game, I would have to remove and replace the entire CPS main board and replace with the other JAMMA based board. Yeah, opening up the back of this machine is.....daunting, so say the least. I mean, I don't think I've ever seen so many ROMS in my entire life. I'm not sure if I want to go digging in there, unplugging this and moving that and whatever. I might have to keep this machine a dedicated Final Fight machine, and just build another cabinet with more options or MAME it.........and then buy a house to store them all lol. As for owning arcade hardware, dude it's not all it's cracked up to be. If I had a house like Mike Z. I'd be fine, but this is 1 bedroom city and it's complicated, to say the least. I'm sure you've got a nice emulator thing going and that's ALL the arcade anyone really needs...
