    I need to see it in HFR. I fell asleep during the first 20 minutes but managed to rouse myself for the next 2+ hours. Any complaints about this movie lacking in originality or not presenting anything substantial when compared to the LOTR needs to go sit on a broadsword; it's a prequel for the aforementioned movies, for Sauron's sake...

    Probably the same engineering principles they used to fit a city into the Macross/SDF. Personally, I'm more amazed at how they got the women to fit into those uniforms, especially the lead nurse. How are you enjoying the series? Isn't it mind-blowingly awesome?

    No, they were too busy bombarding us with Beastie Boys music, blinding lens flare, a green-skinned buxom red-head and other forms of shock and awe to get into details like ship classes and such. I'm guessing the days of quasi-technical manuals and other techno bits are gone?

    I was looking forward to the home release so I could turn the subtitles on, finally figure out what he was saying and then use his lines in daily life, but after watching it at home subtitles weren't necessary...

    Me too; I've got a 1st generation 60G with the 'emo chip and until I got my laptop it served as the heart of my entertainment center for years. There's no point in saving something, IMO. If it breaks, it breaks...
