I've been in love with this company's products ever since they did the Danger Girls. All I can say is God bless McFarlane.
Speaking of Alien(s), has anyone else here have the original Alien movie pop up in their theaters?

Every Valkyrie's beautiful, in its own way.
Why not buy a 'Taka/Bandai Valkyrie? They take a licking and keep on clicking, which is more than you or I or anyone will ever be able to say for the new guys on the block. And besides, they DO NOT look that bad, considering the design was made right around the time Christ was born.....
I wouldn't spend anything more than Yamato 1/48 prices on an "old" design, but anything less than that (reissues) I consider to be a steal...
-
Obviously the word "play" can mean anything to anyone, anytime or anywhere-it depends on the point of view.
The most important thing to remember though is that when playing, or otherwise dealing with your Valkyries, or any other situation in your life for that matter, the only thing that matters is what you think and how you feel; everyone else needs to mind their own damn business and/or get a life....
On that note, I fly my Valkyries around the room making whooshing noises......

Just the holes in the legs for the 'Paks, and any other points of attachment for the armor....
-
Damn, that's a beautiful airframe. I've always believed it to be sacreligous to buy a Valkyrie toy/model that doesn't transform, but buying a fighter only '21 from Hagesawa would be worth it just to see a shape that could never come in the form of a toy...

Hikaru VF-1S
in Toys
Maybe the molds are starting to degrade, and the tolerances are suffering because of it. Depending of course on the strength and composition of the molds themselves, minor flaws inevitably happen folks....
-
Hikaru-shmikaru...I will never understand the fascination with him, or anything that has to do with him.
I strongly recommend that you try to find the 1/48 "Low Visibility" VF-1, as it truly is a "Low Availability" Valkyrie that bears a truly unique and remarkable color scheme. The price will probably be high, but in my opinion it is entirely worth it and easily comparable to 5 'Hik-1S's with DYRL and TV Fast Paks and a %50 off coupon for 1/48 scale GBP armor bundled with it for free.....

A 1/48 Yamato transformation guide video would be great if Graham has the time to dedicate to it.
already has been done.
Not that you should need one.....

Do you mean delete as in canceling or blocking memberships to the 'Forums?

They didn't use call signs in AREA 88 either. Of course, they all had death wishes on their minds so I'm sure they didn't give a damn about cutesy names for themselves...

I don't think that the 3-man squad has anything to do with a military or technical application. The main characters, or the boys (Roy, Hikaru, Max, 'Kaki), needed to be featured together on-screen in order to facilitate dialogue and action sequences-what better way to do that than to have them fly together in a three man formation?

i'm having problems with the USPS actually gettin my Macross disk here at all...
Man, you're still waiting on that!
-
Well, thanks to Big O and the rest of the contributors, I found these guys: americanmodz.com
They sell pre-chipped systems and of course chip systems for that modest fee. Maybe I will get to play that Macross game after all.
-
I like the idea of a 'chipped system, as it keeps the unit looking intact and original. During the days of the VFX series, I just opted to buy PSX's from video game vendors who installed mod-chips in systems and then sold them that way. Also, these people would install chips in systems for a modest fee. Isn't there anyone out there that still does this?
-
Highly unlikely.
Xbox is not doing so hot in Japan, unfortunately.
That's too bad. Could you imagine a missile storm while playing on the X box? With the processing power of the 'X that Macross game would blow everyone's minds.....
-
BTW, no much differences between the OVAs and the movie; in the movie you can see Lucy naked and a couple of valk-animations that don't appear in the OVAs.
There's our winner!

I mean, Macross Plus does not really have any other continuity-stuff with either the TV-series or DYRL......
Sure it does. We see the SDF with the DYRL style arms/ships, so I take that as enough evidence to say that 'Plus relates to DYRL more. Also, Isamu's flight suit screams DYRL....

So machines carry Neo off in the end. Maybe they intend to make love to him.
Now you're talking! Wait, that didn't come out right.... <_<

Being over the top, like Reloaded, would have been fine as long as the final chapter could have answered a few, if not more questions. Reloaded at least continued the story line along with a 4 hour destruction derby on a freeway as an added bonus. Maybe I'm just not in tune with the Matrix world or what have you, but the last film left alot of people in the dust of the post apocalyptic world....

1:48 VF-1J
in Toys
I'm gonna' skip on this one, only because I'm not a fan of the TV Valkyries.
-
It's just a model, for the sake of presentation. That nose is far too pointy; the 1/48 nose is the best and therefor the last of the nose designs....

I gently pry mine off with the tip of a very sharp knife.
-Damn those RMS missiles are way too loose....
-
I just got my 2 sets, courtesy of the almighty Kevin at the Valkyrie Exchange. My only points of concern are just the previously mentioned: super tight booster pods, and RMS missiles that are way too loose, although it does make it easier to take them on and off. The original missile clusters were so tight on my wings that I broke two of them just trying to place and remove them.....
Matrix Revolutions on DVD in 2003?
in Anime or Science Fiction

Sure, I hope they bring it out early. There are few things in the world that are worse than waiting....Ya hear me, Lucas?
