First Valk
in Toys
Any of the 1/48 scale Valkyries, except for the Hikaru. Try to find a "Low Visibility Valkyrie" or "Low Availability Valkyrie", as I like to call them, if you can.
-
I can't believe that anyone would be willing to part with it...
On another note, at the price of over a hundred bucks, I'd wait for the reissued 'Roy, as anything that costs that much needs to be nothing short of perfect. As for future market value? Screw it. We could all die tomorrow so get one that you can enjoy thoroughly...
-
I look at it from a character appreciation point of view. Wait for a reissued 'Roy, as his charater was the epitome of cool. I don't understand the need to purchase anything Hikaru-he was a dork.....

Several?!

Are you refering to the paint on the entire Valkyrie, or the paint situated between joints, pivot points, and whatnot? If it's a part that will come into constant contact with others, then the paint will wear eventually, as was made clear to me by my new Low-Availability-Valkyrie. I've had it a week and it's already losing paint...

Don't worry, it's not a bootleg. Seeing how complicated the Yamato Valkyries are, it would require a great amount of effort just to even attempt to make a cheap rip-off, which would be impossible.
I thought TAB-A was the tab behind the canard section, that keeps that section straight in fighter mode?

yeah, I agree. It felt like the movie was too quick. Everything was all fast paced. It was like they tried to cram everything in less than an hour. Is there a chance we'll be seeing a series for this?
You tagged it....What we've got here is a classic example of the 60 minute commercial......

Virtual Boy...a system so pathetic I had even forgot about it until I happened upon this poll......Can we even call it a system?
-
Hmm...I don't know. We'd have to get permission from the La-Li-Lu-Le-Lo before we could even consider such a project, and you know how they are about rogue operations....

Macross Plus....sounds familiar, but I'm not sure what you're talking about....
Seriously, I first saw Macross Plus, in its movie edition form, back in 1997. I've raved about it for years since then, and when I discovered this great 'Forum in 20?? we here spoke of, argued over, theorized, anthropomorphized, and even fantasized about Macross Plus forwards and backwards. Don't think that we fail to appreciate the masterpiece of work that Macross Plus is. It's just that after all of these years, it's all been said and done a thousand times over.
You do bring up a good point though, in that discussions here tend to focus more on "old school" Macross than its successors. I believe that has something to do with the fact that Macross Plus is but a side story in the Macross timeline, and doesn't leave much room for hypothesis or speculation. And, the majority of toys for Macross obviously favor the original Macross.
In summary, we all know and love Macross Plus. It's just that, well, Isamu, Guld and Myung have all grown up and moved on, and so have we.....
-
If they continue with this, maybe all of us who missed out on the "Low Availability Valkyrie" will get another chance to get one.....
-
Even in foreign entertainment men are made to be bumbling fools....
-
What's up with the delay? Maybe this price plummet has something to do with it, although you'd think that they would've wanted the 'Cube to drop the same day Rogue Squadron came out......

I never meant to imply that my opinion was a fact. The fact is however, that the graphics and controls were better in BC. And although I'm sure that the story in the VFX universe is far superior...........I couldn't understand a word of it anyways, so that aspect of it was lost on me, as I played those games before I had you guys to help me translate it.
Bad controls, horrible graphics, incomprehensible story=
Better controls, cleaner graphics, missions and dialogue I can understand+Robotech=Something not much better/borderline horrific, but something I can live with....

Myk is still Myk, a man who does not exist. I do miss my Mai Shiranui avatar though. Help me, Super O!
-
$99 is a good deal. A better one would see the 'Box drop in price also.....Is that gonna' happen any time soon?
-
Not to make even lighter the situation, but Yamato doesn't build Valkyries in Northern Japan, do they?
-
This is great. The only reason why I even own a computer is so I can be in the Aliens Vs. Predator universe. Of course, the big screen realization will probably fail miserably, but it's still something to consider.
This is so exciting that my avatar wet herself.......

Gotta' go with the Angel Birds.....

I think an army in this respect should include not just one type of mecha, or even mecha/characters from just one universe. Entire toy collections comprise armies, which is how I can enjoy the sight of scores of Valkyries parked around my GI Joe Defiant, for example.

It's on their clearance page, here:

Ooops too late
Damn it......

It's not an idiosyncracy, rather a lack of accuracy on whoever put up the subtitles. His name is Guld. I take it you saw the Movie version?
-
That is really cool. What program did you use for the "Cameotar?"

My 1/48 VF-1A Low Vis is on its way After this arrives im holding on for the YF-19 FP as I can't afford to buy anymore unless I want my parents to kill me I know one thing, I won't be telling them the price, which was £107 ($177) including delivery oO
I decided to inaugurate my return to money burning with a purchase of the Low Availability Valkyrie as well-I paid $177. I know I could've gotten it for cheaper on the 'Bay, but when it comes to Valkyries the 'Bay makes me nervous.
Where did you get your 'Low Vis. from?
Just a quick question about Battlecry...

Don't you wanna' earn all of that mecha?
