    Great Jiminy Jupiter's Radioactive Roving Rocket Squadrons! I just got mine today! This thing is utterly fantastic! It's freaking HUGE! Sure, standing upright it's slightly shorter than the Matchbox/Takutoku SDF-1 Macross, but the cannon and flight deck add a lot more mass to this toy. Utterly phenomenal! Detail is great! Dear Lord I so want someone, anyone, to make a DYRL style Macross this quality.I'm still a bit depressed about the Yamato SDF-1 costing a ridiculous amount of money, but if they released one this size, for a comparable amount of money I'd be in mecha heaven.

    It's not perfect. Like everyone already knows, it cannot hold it's shape in cruiser mode on its own. I'd be a lot more upset about that if I liked the cruiser mode all that much, but I'm pretty much keeping this guy in attack mode.

    Also, the giant radar behind the bridge is a solid, molded piece. The radar bit cannot be rotated at all, it's stuck in the "stored" position. Again, I'd be much more annoyed if I planned on keeping the Quarter in carrier mode for any length of time.

    Unexpected awesomeness! It can actually hold up both the Macross cannon and the flight deck! I wonder how long that will last? Hopefully a good long time, it looks awesome in the classic Macross pose.

    Bloody brilliant! I'm so insanely happy with this thing. It's marvelous! When are we getting Battle Frontier?

    Totally agree with what you say about this Quarter, it is an excellent toy with some minor issue.

    Also truth about SDF-1. Yamato really mess people up big time about their ridiculous expensive SDF-1 (kit).

    If only Bandai produce a SDF-1 toy with the same quality, details, size and price point as this Quarter. It will probably become the best toy in Macross history!

    Hey macrossnake,

    I've been wanting to get that Kaiyodo Cammy you have but in the light blue or pink variants. How is the quality on that figure? I think I read somewhere that the parts are glued poorly, especially where the legs meet the torso.

    I wanted to add pics of the large collection of figures I have, but I'm in the process of packing everything up to put in storage until I can sort out the mess that I have gotten into with an ex-gf. I even got some Detolfs at that last Ikea sale for some of my character figures. I hope I can display them someday.

    My Kaiyodo Cammy is in a great quality. Highly details (no problem with the area between parts, no messy glue), good paint job and great packing.

    However I also notice there are many 'un-offical' (QA reject products) CAMMY from HK markets - and I do also own a 'white' version of these 'QA reject" product! (cause I got it from a very cheap price at the time, I don't mind the quality is a bit off)

    SO. Make sure get them from some reliable shops. I think that would be fine. ;)

    * I don't have the pink or light blue versions. But they do seems to have different type of paint job on their clothes.

    Hey, enough of the "I want" and more of the "I have" please.

    This thread wasn't started so web crawlers could post pics out of mags or web sites, it was started to show the REAL (so to speak) thing.

    Was going to post this in the "All Things Video Games Thread" but I found this old-ass thread.

    The pictures are from Sankaku Complex but I uploaded them here anyway.

    I was never really a big fan of Play Arts figures but these overwhelmingly nice.

    Agree, both look amazing, so details - so expensive too. :p

    Per-order the bike already... might get the 'horse' too.

    Yes, I would almost certain this movie will be another piece of poo, belongs to $5.99 DVD section after 6 months release in the theater.

    Doesn't matter if that is Lionsgate, Sony or Warner Bros get the right for the next movie. As long as they get some better writers and director to do the next movie.

    And please don't do anything like Terminator VS RoboCop that sort of sh*t... (as awful as AVP) <_<

    I guess I'll get it and keep it in Unicorn mode mostly... It'll be my THIRD Unicorn kit... but hey - whatever :) I love the design.

    Wish Bandai would make that hangar thingy standard issue though... that's aweseome!

    If I decide to get the 'new' MG Unicorn instead of the upcoming GFF MC version. It is because of the awesome looking 'hangar'. ^_^
