I think the destroids and the Silvie might have shelf warmed. But Bandai should have released the Tomahawk first, as it's probably the most popular destroid. Other companies usually release that first too, then the defender. Bandai would have had better sales. If they cancel the line based on issuing less than popular mecha, that sucks.

    Bandai better release that Tomahawk!
  3. thanks for link @valhary. Those pics look like some of the markings are not tampo but waterslides or stickers from the rectangular edges around the print.

Nice custom and effects parts @sh9000. Does the glue stay stuck on or is it removable?

Great pic @tekering I think that’s the ground person from the yammie tomahawk. Bandais new high end nu gundam looks to have several of these support staff, which is really cool. Bandai should include these with their valks. Thanks for the comparison pics.

I think that's a ver Ka MG rx78, not the ver 3. They also have a samurai version of that kit. Is a PG strike only 30 cm tall? It seems taller than that. I just put all my toys in my display cabinet. If I had to match scales for each shelf, couldn't fit them in. RG grade is like HMR, very good detail for size and price. But MG is a bit bigger and scales better with HMR. I just buy the Frames arts parts for their parts to mod my model kits. I think Bandai will put out the Njer (since it got teased) and the Qrau because Bandai puts out even very unpopular mecha, and the Qrau is popular.

Nice pic Tekering. I too think that the MG and the HMR line scale well for 1/100 scale. Not sure about the PG vs v2 yammies at 1/60 scale as I only have one PG, and it's not displayed next to my v2 Yammies. It's also hard to compare the pilot with the valk pilots cuz the pilots are different sizes for DYRL and SDFM. To continue the discussion of rising costs, I remember Arcadia officially posting on their website a reply about the huge increase in cost, and that labor costs in China were rising. Inflation (iirc) in China was rapid during those years and their previously cheap labor wasn't cheap anymore as skilled labor was in demand. It's possible Arcadia may have had a supplier problem. They are small compared to Bandai or Takara (whose Masterpiece line was ramping up and very popular), and the increased demand from those competitors and others for skilled workers would drive up the costs. The Arcadia with parts which is similarly detailed as the DX 1/48 (although different scale and metal parts) is a steal compared with the DX 1/48 line since the Arcadia includes the missiles and parts. Also you don't have to order/hunt for the parts separately or go through preorder madness or scalping. They're expensive, but not as expensive as the DX SDFM and DYRL, and they're available from most companies for months to order. Whoever mentioned the price increases across lines, and tracked prices, I think you're correct about the YF-29 had the improvements which were adopted in the dx renewal line. Do you remember the preorder madness around the Frontier line though? Bandai's increases were reasonable compared with the rampant scalping. We're seeing a repeat of that mess in the 1/48 line. The HMR line (other than the VF-4 and Silvie) have been priced about the same as when they first came out, factoring in the extras as you mentioned like armor and parts. As they are like toys and reasonably priced, I play with these more often. Also the destroids and Zentran mecha are reasonably priced for their quality, which seems higher quality than the HMR valks. The accessories like the missile effect parts are not available in other lines. The smaller size is easier to collect for those with limited space (especially in Japan). The fact that the HMR doesn't have preorder madness is also a big sell point for me. All in all, the HMR is a very rounded line and low bar to enter for new collectors and most value for price compared with the other lines. If Bandai finishes Macross with the destroids this line's collectibility will be even higher.
  8. this photo and A stance are what is a big deal vs the Yammie 1/48. The other 2 modes are similar but his A stance looks good

vlenhoff Amazon.jp had a 1s delta colors for a decent price can't find the link right now
  11. Bandai should release the missile effects with the DX missiles like the HMR missiles effects. Also for the GBP.
  12. @saburo Nice pic. I feel the need, the need for speed!
  13. I didn't think Max 1a was that popular, so surprised at the preorder madness. The scalpers probably jumped on the Max because of the Hikky reviews and the bidding of the 1j. The 1j was the TV main mecha so Bandai probably underproduced. Scalpers aren't collectors because they would "know" who is popular. You guys are so cool. Again, you guys are so cool. Authentic collectors. I think peeps were comparing the pricing (over 100k Y) to the expensive DX scalping prices and preorder madness (one member mentioned it sold out in seconds). It's shocking that a product that costs over 5 times the DX line would sell out in seconds, when we are upset that bots are hogging all our DX orders. Members were also fantasizing if Bandai did a similar line for Macross DX. There was a mock up of a large valk some years ago that was vaporware. He's selling now, because if he's up for the cost by September, he'll have to spend his own money. Selling it at 2500 profit is pure profit since the product isn't even out yet. This. The scalper makes his money by denying the collector and artificially increasing/manipulating demand. If Bandai flooded the market with huge stock, Bandai might take a loss in the short run, but would screw the scalpers in the long run. I only buy at MSRP as the scalpers else would keep wrecking our PO. PO nights used to be fun and exciting, now it is a shark fest. PO = preorder night, or p!$$ off night? Many collectors would rather pay the iron price than deal with PO madness. But I agree with you, I wouldn't pay because I don't feed the scalpers.
  14. Wow. 70 cm That would be a centerpiece. That's in the ballpark of those Transformers titans. DX XL! Ha ha
  15. so scalping it at twice the price would be 200000Y? Since peeps are willing to pay the scalper price for DX.
  16. What's the sizing on that? Need a room just to display it? Off topic but I thought that there was a mock up of 1/30ish scale with light up LEDs. That would have cost a pretty penny but probably not as much as the Gundam. Whoever was comparing these toys to cars, that price is getting closer. Costs more than some car parts?
  17. If Bandai Macross starts pricing like that rx93, I'm out.
  18. Thanks @slave iv
  19. So what happens if the package doesn't arrive? Can the cc refund us? Sorry for off topic, but this can shave a bunch of cash becuz I usually pay for the more expensive shipping (that has insurance). off topic, but that looks like a custom job at a competition. If Nu Gundam costs 93000Y, what about Sazabi? Scalpers be all over that That display base can be sold separately and everyone who collects mecha would buy it. The yammies at 1/60 would be so cool in it
  20. Dang missed the valk this morning. Open for 10 minutes? the preorder day lasted seconds
  21. Thanks @slave iv didn't know that
  22. Are they rereleasing this dx durandal? Did I miss this preorder too?
  23. Thanks @no3Ljm. When I handled it, the DX 1J didn't have a pilot in it. Had no idea it was so small compared to the Yammie. So the Yammie pilot has the stick on his hand, and the DX has his hand in mid air. thanks @jvmacross I don't think the credit card company would do anything for you. I had a defective preorder that was delayed beyond the 6 months Paypal, and Paypal wouldn't refund. The credit card company said that you should complain within two months. Thanks @chronocidal. That is nice detail on the giant joystick, can make out the buttons on it. The guy who CAD the joystick is not the guy who did the pilot. He had the Yammie pilot when he CAD the joystick. That stick is so big it doesn't look like it's a fighter stick for one hand, but the boom and 2 handed wheel on the boeing 700 series. haha
  24. They have a large cockpit, I'm not sure if it was Kitzconcept, but the interior detail was impressive. On the DX, Bandai probably wouldn't bother. Does anyone who has the DX in hand know if the interior is TV accurate with the joy stick in the middle? Is the DX 1s have the joy sticks to the sides of the cockpit?
  25. and the pylons on the box missiles look longer too on the model kit nice pics @jvmacross
