This is going to be a weird transition for some pieces. In their press release they say "Bigwest Co., Ltd. has announced the release of all works that are part of the “Macross” franchise made after 1987 to a worldwide audience from April 9, 2021." And now we see our first official release of Flashback 2012 to the global market(yay!) but aside from the new animation, it has all the content from prior to 1987 (doh!) Will any games be able to INCLUDE a VF-1, or do they need to start at the VF-4? Books etc? What can they include? They hybrid stuff is going to be interesting to watch, but maybe Flashback is they key...it IS a Hybrid, and it is releasable...so maybe this says it all S

Since they've recognized the Takani box art on the GPB Box art as the inspiration for the large hands on this new DX release... ..wait for it... They are going to do some Takani "special limited releases" in the future with the custom colors we saw at the Tamashi show! It all makes sense now! haha (If I THINK it, it WILL happen...positive thinking!)

Was just hoping something new might have been 'uncovered'...I have all the older assets, so if it is just repackaged, will skip. I liked SC-binged in one weekend way back on Prime (the subtitled version) and was quite happy with how it was. Some of the animation was amazing (especially for the Auroran)...had to skip back and re-watch some of those scenes a few times.

But you can now get all the Delta valks your heart desires! :P So who can do the photoshop math on the valk nose cone? It is bent/opened backwards at the 180 degree setting right? On my J, when I bend it back like that, it touches the wings, so does that mean it is open in the back? I can't imagine another 2mm of plastic fully enclosing it, but maybe/probably/for sure.

No-I'm saying trying to retract those monster hands into the ARMs of the vf-1 when transforming back to fighter would probably leave a couple dents... I hope these little missile covers can be set on securely or they will most certainly get lost..the Yamato 1/48s were notoriously loose

I'm telling you I'm ret-conning the GBP design and those are Armored GLOVES Those are just gigantic! Otherwise when you need to eject the armor, the hands gotta come off too because they certainly are sliding into the arms during transformation

I guess they need permission from HG for any TV/DYRL video releases Or maybe they just forgot to turn off the geo-fencing...but suspect that is not the case

The good news for people that don't have a VF-1J is that it doesn't REALLY matter now. You could use a more accessible VF-1S Hikaru, and the only difference would be the wing stripe color if seen from the back. So get any DX, swap the head and you've got a GPB VF-1J

I know it isn't EXACTLY what you were asking but there is a Nousjadeul-Ger variant in the movie if you are looking for crazy DYRL variants Missile Backpack! There was another variant somewhere I swear...can't remember right now but I caught it doing a frame advance during some scene...man I love getting old.

Extremely SFW only...and even THAT is going to be a VERY light MAYBE. "Misa and Hikaru do something to Bodolza", even worded safely is not something I think I REALLY want to read about here. Documenting some of the SAFER covers as I had done is probably ok as a Macross completionist, but everything else should be left to the actual buyer of the items. And even that MAYBE....final judgement to be 'If I don't like it I'm going to ask it be removed'...sorry can't really give more at this time. We don't have an 18 or older member filter, so consider everything could be read by a 10 year old please.
