buzzbeat Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 Just talked with someone at CineEast, an Asian video store in LA. They were the ones selling the deadstock mint Gakken Alphas. About a month ago, they'd found a small case of old warehouse stock (about 6 blue Alphas, a couple of cyclones), and have just recently sold the last Alpha they had, at $70.00. So if you were planning to look for these at Anime Expo, don't waste your time. CineEast will be there, so you can ask them about it.
BoBe-Patt Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 aww man. That sucks. I'm still gonna check anyway, just in case.
Gaijin Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 Damn. Damn, damn, damn. Like I could go and check anyways.

valk1j Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 Damn, I was hoping that these were some sort of reissue or a high quality boot. My Gakken Legioss didn't make it through my childhood very well.
Cyclone Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 (edited) It did seem pretty strange timing if the re-issue/bootleg angle was true, and proved not to be Cyc Edited June 30, 2004 by Cyclone

CID Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 and have just recently sold the last Alpha they had, at $70.00. That is funny, here I am (like most other Alpha collectors) trying to get a decent looking one for that price. Damn those were very very nice condition. Oh well, soon or later, it will be up on Ebay. Lucky you, to those that were able to get it at that price....
