figured i'd post this, sorry if its been scene but a buddy of mine got a bootleg poti-prime beast wars convoy made in koreaROBOT

Actually, those may not be bootlegs. I know Takara licenced some Korean companies to build their transformers for sale in Korea. He may well have an original.

It just looks too good to be a bootleg.

Yeah, the Korean released Transformers are official products, and identical to those released by Takara in Japan. They just have Korean packaging. I've got the Korean Big Convoy and Brave Maximus, it's good stuff.

I remember years ago when Beastwars was out I never would see a Optimus Prime ape version, but I would find an Aligator or was it a bat version......one was Prime the other was Megatron.....than I saw the Mamuth version somewhere else....mostly just KB Toys way back....

Cool. Looks a lot like the original. I have the 'Japanese' version, looking at the pics, they look exactly alike.

That's because they are. The only difference is the box, the toy inside is the same.
