As long as there are new toys/figures are in the pipeline, your statement will hold. It was true when the 1/60 is released. It was true when the 1/48 was released. It was true when VF-1 accessories, figures and non-VF-1s were released.

It's when no new projects are announced, products are cancelled or pulled off shelf that we know the golden age is over.
