wolfx
I'm not as great as the greats on this board....but I loved how this kit turned out, despite 3 dry decals getting torn up by unfortunate accidents. I just did some panel lining and left the rest as it is. Edited April 27, 2004 by wolfx
wolfx
It can aim with the scope...w000t! Like in this pic, its the 1st Gundam I owned which can actually pull off this pose properly. Edited April 27, 2004 by wolfx

wolfx
Notice that the shield is movable as it rests on a pivoting swing. Its not stuck to the hand and makes the hand immobile like in most kits.
wolfx
That's all folks. Personally the Aile and the Aegis are the only mecha from Seed I like. And I don't like Seed anime much. But this kit is excellent. I recommend it to anyone. Druna Skass: Yes...so far only the Aile is MG-ed. It may be the only one ever to become MG-ed, with possiblity for Freedom Gundam. Black Valkyrie
Nice kit how long did it take you to make MG-Strike ?. I was thinking to get it but I also want the Metal Material Sword & Launcher Strike Gundam, difficult to choose since I originally wanted the Metal Alie Strike (out of print) ............. to much money
wolfx
black valk: took me about 5-6 hours to fix it up. another 2-3 hours the next day to put the decals. I hate dry decals.

GRAND CANNON
Excellent job and pics, wolfx !! Now I definitely have to get this kit!!! The poseability looks great. The launcher stand is also a great addition. I wish all MGs had this same poseability attribute as this kit and the G Gundam kits. Does the Strike kit have the same "Action" frame as the G's? (i.e. ABS and screws?)

(i.e. ABS and screws?) It doesn't have the same action frame. There are only 2 screws in this whole kit which is inside the shoulder pads. I'm not sure why add those 2 screws there though. And the joints are tight. They are tight enough to freeze the model in whatever pose you want it to be in, but not so tight that its hard to pose. Its excellent!! But that being said, the frame design for this model is quite ingenius. To do the crouching, the thigh armor actually seperates into 2 halves to make room for movement. The armor skirts also can go much higher than most kits to enable more movement for the legs. The gundam also has poseable heels which is another 1st, I think. Anubis
I dare say that looks better than the Metal Material Aile Strike. I love that the MG comes with a stand. I just hope Freedom and Providence make their way into MG. I'd snatch those up. I can't see buying the MG Aile Strike though because I have the Metal Material already. If they do a repaint Strike Rouge I'll consider that one though too. Edited April 27, 2004 by Anubis

Damn, I wish they made a MG Sword Strike, that I could customize the crap out of... I'm not sure, but I think this MG can fit the normal HG 1/100 Sword/Launcher kits. So you can buy those and plug those into the MG. But don't take my word for it. I'm only guessing from the shoulder mounts and hand mounts that it can be done, or there might be plans to release a weapons pack for it. This would probably be my only Gundam Seed kit i'm willing to buy....and if the Aegis Gundam gets to MG, i'll consider that as welll. But for now, only other Seed kit I'd get is the 1/100 Red Frame which is yet to be released. The 1/144 for it is so poseable, I'm having wet dreams thinking of the 1/100 HG. Druna Skass
I never really cared much for the standard Astreys. I mean I like the design but not enough to really make me want to get a kit of it. The upgraded Blue and Gold Frames on the other hand...
Hubert
Wolfx, did you paint your model ? It looks very good and clean. As I ve already the Metal Material Aile Strike, I'm not very interested by this model ... if they make a red one, maybe. I am waiting the freedom in MG with no floppy aile (like my zeta :|)

jonwayne
personally, i don't really like seed mecha. they look as if they're on drugs. skinny with sunken cheeks. compare Strike with RX-178 MkII. he's the arnold schwarzeneger of all gundams. now he's what i'd call a mecha. but that just my opinion. Still don't hold a candle to a Studio Reckless Gundam, even if it is something as simplistic as a Pixy: http://www5e.biglobe.ne.jp/%7Ereckless/gal.../pixy/pixy.html Or as classic as a Rx-78-2 and Rx-77-2: http://www5e.biglobe.ne.jp/%7Ereckless/gal...X-78-2002a.html http://www5e.biglobe.ne.jp/%7Ereckless/gal.../77-2/77-2.html Or as flashy as a Rx-78-4/5: http://www5e.biglobe.ne.jp/%7Ereckless/gal.../78-4/78-4.html http://www5e.biglobe.ne.jp/%7Ereckless/gal.../78-5/78-5.html Or as utilitarian as a GM Spartan: http://www5e.biglobe.ne.jp/%7Ereckless/gal...an/spartan.html Or as impressive as a Byg Zam ver Ka.: http://www5e.biglobe.ne.jp/%7Ereckless/gal...ma/byg/byg.html Now that's what I call Gundam Integral. Well, the Studio calls it that too, but it makes perfect sense. Edited May 2, 2004 by Stamen0083
