I would like to know if some people may know some books about the theoretical aspects related in macross and macross zero, about protoculture, about the evolution of human beings, ... I mean serious scientific or theology books. I know some general books in the style of darwin versus god, but if you know some good books just tell it in this topic

Where do you all buy this big ED209 ?? the shipping must cost a lot. Does it have toes joints ? Can you make the pose when he is in the stairs and it tries to go downstairs ? How tight are the joints in the arms ?

I saw Daidendjin of Denjiman in the planning many months ago. it was supposed to be released about this time, just before gunbuster. Now there is no new of denjiman and we ll probably get ideon and the other xabungle robots before I wish they could speed up the sentai toys in the soc line

I would like to know if someone has some information of the new soc book, is it an improved version of the first version, or it is the real following with totally different stuff ( gx24 and after )? In the HLJ page about the book, what are the weapons of combattler V, it was prototype weapon or it is for a new reissue, if it's the case, the robot itself seems exactly the same :/ Otherwise , any news about the denjiman robots which was supposed to come very soon ???

fraggle rock was great and is still great. it is a great show with funny song with different universe and people... (human , fraggle, little builder people, the hairy giant family ...) I would buy the dvd set if i could get the ultimate complete set with the english version and french version. (i m french) on the new tv dvd set, i ve seen that some are just the "best of" just some episodes of a tv show ... and i find it really sucks to not get all. anyways, as for some anime, dvd sets of a complete show are often not digest. if u watch a show too often it gets very boring

the 1/48 AG toys are very good , they re worth 15$ , not 29.99$. They re great for cutsom. I have the first green, the purple, the brutishdog and the all green with bazooka. They are not as cool as the HCM pro as they re not painted except for the weapon in some case, and a part of the head. Indeed, they should be considered as assembled model kit. With some dark lines, a little dirty effect on them and they re ready for action I ve bought them on HLJ and unfortunatly i dont have preordered/bought the red shoulder, the fly ... ( they look to have some success... If u find them too little, i advice you to wait the takara 1/18, which look better than the expansive yamato PS : if u got some be very careful to the little pipe near the knee, i broke 2 (, they dont reach the inside of the knee. same for the little part of the chest, it has to be cut properly.

i wonder how they will succeed to keep the attention during 3hours as everybody know the end. maybe it will be something like the planet of the monkeys remake. i really hope it wont be just a remake and they ll add some new things in the story, otherwise i prefer to keep the older version.

it looks they finally added a stand. well it s a good honest choice as it cant have a great balance. they oriented the toy to be close to the anime, good choice. it looks they made the good sacrifice. i think i ll probably get it the different mode look very well detailed, it would be nice to have some comparison pic with a 1/48 valk, soc dan, 1/12 votoms or something about the same size. how much die cast in the toy ??

just watch the evolution of the opening anime theme, mostly for robot. I have on cd the opening of the 70s , 80s , 90s robot anime and you can really the evolution. When you see the sunrise production at the beginning of the 90s..., the heros are all so young. when someone say the rx78 is all flashy, i disagree, the red/blue/white were not flashy, it s the kind of red that changes. the computer colors attack the eyes. There is no old vs new anime. It's like when you like movie with cowboys, you re stuck with old movies. There are some anime styles that belong to some years. for robot anime : 77-85 very good, 85-90 good, 90-95 bad, 95-97 good, 97-2002 bad, now it gets back good. there re some cycle.

I also prefer old anime and I dont think it s only nostalgia. We can be objective and say that the stories and the techniques used are different and they have their own charm. It's not like video games where all get better with time. - Many stories are gay, the consensus rules, no position. How can a winner identify to a guy who cry for nothing, who is not able to decide something... - I mean there are more and more anime that completly made by computer. it's OK when the production put money on it and it s fine. For me , I ve seen a real change in anime after 97, the colors of anime changed, mostly for background. There is something "made by hand", which is lost. It would be fair to compare movie with movie, and tv with tv. I prefer my old nausicaa and laputa than the new ghibli with recycled theme. Same for tv, the animation was bad but the drawing were better in many cases. Even if I remember well the 80s, it's because of quantity, not quality. I liked many cartoons but I remember few that were great. Anyways, I agree that 95% of anime sucks. It's made for money, to sell toys. Now they sell video games, card, everything ... It's even crazy that people can think you like everything when you only like one thing. It seems that there are some consensus for cowboy bebop and some others that it was good. But for raxephon, escaflowne, i did not like. I also agree for macross+, without the music and the valks there is not a lot...

I m back from Korea, I had time to visit a lot of shops. I found several anime shops and the price are VERY high. There is nothing interesting about anime. I was in a big store named "lotte" and I found a place with some toys, nothing interesting again : no choice and expansive. In the COEX mall, it's all about food and restaurant. I wonder if korean people eat at home sometimes... Otherwise, Seoul is a nice city, well secured, you can be in the metro the night and you feel right , it s very clean. It's very hard to find a tourist shop that sell postal cards, you need to go in bookstore.

I wonder how well balanced all the mecha will be. With all they have on the back, it will be a big problem mostly if it s made with metal. The separate vehicules look good but for the robot, the back is too much present. I may be wrong but sometimes I feel the colors change in robot mode, like in gundam seed, to have all the robot in the same color :|, or they have all the 3 colors and it s hiden when they combine. anyways i feel some getta robot magic in the transform.

i used to play to progressquest, it s free and so adictive. it s better than all others rpgs, i ll make a new character and play again

i dont know yet. I dont care for the number of processors, their power, the memory or other things. I m waiting for the price in europe and the games. revolution can read my game cube games ... ps3 can read my old ps1 games... there s still the new zelda for the game cube, i can still wait. I bet in europe we ll have the next gen console in xmas 2006, at best. wait&see.

if you dont have money, dont buy games. The fact is I know people who buy very powerful PC, who change video card and everything often, and they complain about video games prices. If you play on PC then you re able to buy games. If you have a old PC, the games cant work and the old games are cheap. I had a period : cool I can copy cd, let's have a lot of games. bad idea. 1. i dont have time to play all the games. 2. too many games kill the games, no time to value one. 3. it takes a lot of place for nothing I dont buy many games, the last games I bough was resident evil 4 on gc and i dont need 10 games each year. If you look for the number of hours you play a good game, it's not too too expansive. with rpg and online games, I bet it's less than 1$/hour. Now there are more and more people involved for making a game. Considering also the evolution of the cost of the life, the price did not really raised. About the price, it's the same problem as dvd and cd. One of the problem about theprice is that it gets cheap fast and it has no real value. Wait 4 years and they almost give you games. The question is, shall I wait or shall I buy now. Nowadays, I prefer buy expansive toys who will stand on the shelf during years with the same great look and maybe more value with years, than a video game.
