warrhead Posted April 17, 2004 Share Posted April 17, 2004 (edited) I was just thinking this'd be cool: A macross line of lighters where either a small non-articulated Battroid fig shoots a jet-flame from it's GU-11 or just a larger GU-11 that shoot's a jet-flame... It'd be REALLY cool if the GU-11 were 1/48 scale and could be kept in the hand of our Yammies... pro'ly a dumb idea, but I'd buy one, or two... Like a White enamel lighter with a yellow and black chest stripe across the seam (the flip top and body seam) with a bacl heat shield either in the middle or off center. stuff like that. No, I was actually just thinking about another idea I have for a lighter and this just sorta' popped out... there are plenty of other gun-lighters out there, so why not? I'd also like to see a fully TFing old-school megatron given this treatment, but now I'm getting OT. I WOULD like to see a t-shirt like this though: yellow and black stripes with a black Jolly-Rogers heatshield!!! And Danny, there IS a Chinese brand wich is as good a Zippo! one of my employees gave me one, and it is really good quality. So dont look don¡wn at Chinese zippos boots, some may be real good. I bought my first zippo (for the purpose of causing mischief, I don't smoke, other than the once-in-a-blue-moon cigar with the boys) when I was 9 and I still use it today! (I'm 25 now). Regular zippos (which are exclusive enough already) only costs roughly about USD 20-30 at most. I can guess bulk of the money that also goes into the Macross Zippo price tag would be the licensing fees and it's limited units. Somebody told me it also carries with it, a "sin tax". Is this true? Sin tax WTF?!! I thought only cigarettes carry sin tax. AFAIK, even extra special escort services don't even carry a sin tax. But ZIPPO LIGHTERS WTF?!!! I'm gonna buy a blank Zippo and carve my favorite VF and Macross girl on it. cost of buying a blank Zippo lighter = USD20 cost of carving the Macross stuff I want on it plus the Zippo lighter = USD50++ cost of owning a one and only Macross lighter while flipping off the Government, BW and scalpers = Priceless!
