Minmay, Hikaru, Misa and the VF-4 were all hand drawn first (Misa and Hikaru in pencil, Minmay and the VF-4 in pen) and then scanned in and colored individually. After that they were pasted together into the wallpaper, with some Photoshop filters thrown in. As always, the full-sized 1024x768 wallpaper can be downloaded RIGHT HERE, where it is posted at YellowLightMan's Macross Fan Creations Gallery. If there is enough interest, I will also post the individual pics as well, for anyone who wants to see them. Lestat Posted April 9, 2004 Share Posted April 9, 2004 Misa, the Lightning and Hikaru look awesome. Personally, I especially like Hikaru's flight suit. Minmei was looking hot in the preview, but there's something not right about her head. I think it could be something to do with the eyes having no black in them. It feels incomplete in that part of the picture. Maybe the mouth's just a little big too, I can't put my finger on it. Sorry to be the prick to criticise. I love the work otherwise. Trust me, with the lighting flares I had decided to use, having Minmay's eyes be darker looked really weird to me. I guess I can't please everyone... IMHO if you can add a tiny bit more shadow to the tip of the nose. It'd make it more noticible, because it's a little hard to see.......but that's just me.
