Monetary Unit

What are the monetary units aboard the SDF-1, Macross 7, Eden or in places featured in every Macross video?

I believe its just "credits".

Onboard the Macross if you're hungry, you can get a Macro-Sand for 200 credits.... hehe (DYRL)

Perhaps Macross money... or maybe UN money... if there is a one world govenment.

credits....ah yes the basic generic money of the future......I dunno ive never really liked when a series just went with credits...its kinda....bland. At least give your money an interesting name like Macredit or something else :D

As near as I can tell, the payouts from the video game machines seemed to be in credits, not game tokens, as you can see Max lugging it home (IIRC). So there's your chance to see it. What was it, a big yellow coin with an "M"?

Remember, Macross had an international crew! UN Spacy anyone??? So, since the EU uses the euro, I guess Macross would use the...uno?

Yo Roy, can I borrow 5 unos?

hmmm...sounds Spanish. ;)

yep, and Spacyo's sound like a kids cereal.

Eat up! Spacyo's are good and good for you!!

:p:lol:

Guess not....

As for the M, it was probably an arcade or casino token so the M is probably specific to the joint whose name escapes me atm...

I'd have to review the actual ep in question, but I doubt Max would haul home boxes of tokens. They seemed to be treating it like money.

What if they called it bling-bling?

Over my dead body. :p

As for money, I always thought that at least on board Macross there was a ration system and no real monetary system -- that they used ration points for making purchases of staple living necisities. Maybe there was some sort of money for luxury items?

I can't believe you guys are talking about this. This is like the Star Wars discussion which Did the general contractors all die on the Death Star 2?

Kudos to those who knows what movie I am referring to.

I'm going out on a limb here and guess:

"Clerks"
