Prowlus
the premise is almost like microman and diaclone with a touch of sentai
UN Spacy
Is there an anime series that centers around this toyline? Very sleek designs.
Prowlus
in speaking yes I see alot of takara design elements in those toys not suprising since konami bought them out some time ago
GDomino
By the looks of it, an anime series and then a vidogame. Even if the game and the anime blows, I like the designs of the figs and their add-ons. Someone at TBDX found this link to Konami's page. http://www.konami.co.jp/press/2004/02/007/r.16.02.26-e.html The jp page also has some pics on a videogame. http://www.konami.co.jp/press/2004/02/007/r.16.02.26.html Edit: Prowlus beat me to it. Blaine23
I like the "cyclone inspired" design quite a bit... the toys looked very Power Rangers, though... It'd be cool if they made a large scale toy of that design.
Guppy
http://www.konami.co.jp/press/2004/02/007/r.16.02.26-e.html lol! Beware the BUGSHEEN! Blaine - you're right.. they look like mospeada and power ranger love children.
EXO
I'm not that excited about the design... which is good... less money to spend...

JELEINEN
I like the design, but I'm curious to see how well implimented it is in the toy itself.

MSW
It kind of reminds me of these UFO cather toys... http://www22.pos.to/%7Ebutto/tth0-09.html
Black Valkyrie
I knew about it for a while, yup it even has Mospeada elements plus Garland from Megazone 23 and I`m still thinking to preorder but you even the pilot suits look like from mospeada http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?KNMCC0300 http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?KNMCC0304 http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?KNMCC0316 http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?KNMCC0305 Hmph....... Am Driver sounds like Armo Diver !
Graham
Quite like the design of the basic armor. Sorta reminds me of the Hard Suits in Bubble Gum Crisis. That the figures come with what I presume are flying surf boards is enough to put me off though. Some of the accessories, like the bike look nice, others not so nice. GDomino
More pics from this JP site . I really like the looks of the figs. Maybe its them shiny visors!!! Hoverboards be damned...I just won't display them. Anyways, I'm surprised no one has mentioned anything about customizing one into a Hikaru (TV) fig. GDomino
....here's one of the [cyclone-inspired] bike armor. Also, keep in mind that the figures pictured are the smaller boxed trading figures and aren't the regular sized ones (see one of the big legs?). If anything I'm afraid that the bike maybe a bit undersized.
Lynx7725
Quite like the design of the basic armor. Sorta reminds me of the Hard Suits in Bubble Gum Crisis. That's an idea. Maybe someone can customize these to become BGC Hardsuits? The version 1s, of course.
Blaine23
I really like the looks of the figs. Maybe its them shiny visors!!! Hoverboards be damned...I just won't display them. But the hoverboards are what make them EXXXXXXTREEEEEME! I'll wait until I see some decent transforming mecha toys before I think these guys are any different than the go, go power rangers. Graham
OK, so we all agree that the toys are cool, but what about the Am Driver anime? Has anybody seen it? Is it any good, or is it a kiddies cartoon? I saw a HK DVD the other day, I think it had the first 12 or 13 eps on it. I was thinking of getting it, but want to hear some opinions first. DARKWIND
It's like this, I have my wife picking up the toys for me since I'm here in San Diego now. I've got my son watching them and he's usually a good judge if Daddy will like it or not. . . Still waiting for his reply. . .
