GMK Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 What's the accepted wisdom on the best 1/144 VF-1? I've got a few of the Wave 1/100 kits, but looking for something more manageable for dioramas etc. Greg
chyll2 Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 was there even any choices other than the resin cast by Yellow submarine? http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shop/en/item_s-1600479.html http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shop/en/item_s-1695563.html http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shop/en/item_s-1405705.html
Model-Junkie Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 You also have the Chara-works 1/144 pre-assembled and painted models
Gabe Q Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 You also have the Chara-works 1/144 pre-assembled and painted models These are an excellent representation of the valkyrie
GMK Posted February 3, 2015 Author Posted February 3, 2015 Do the Chara-works items have a GERWALK model available?
idontknow Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Imai made a few sets http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/models/imai/imai_orig.htm (Look for 1/144 4-type) starts about 1/4 way into the page. I actually still have a sealed set of them packed up somewhere. They are pretty detailed for their size and how old they are.
Model-Junkie Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Do the Chara-works items have a GERWALK model available? No, only fighter mode
MechTech Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 I was thinking the same thing. Ebay has a 4 valk set, VF-1A/J/S right now for $45 plus shipping. I had the set and liked it. They're anime style versus line art accurate (big hands and feet), but cool all the same.-MT
