areaseven Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 "My momma always said: Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get." Earlier this month, the 1994 epic film Forrest Gump was re-released on IMAX for its 20th anniversary. Time sure flies, doesn't it? A couple of reviews showing how this film holds well today as it did back then.
Kanedas Bike Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Awesome movie, I still need to pick it up on Blu ray (never bought it on DVD). -b.
Dynaman Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Went and saw it on Saturday, even the running sequence wasn't so bad in Imax. The audio for the Vietnam battle sequence were fantastic.
Mommar Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 The movie was infinitely better than the book it was adapted from.
areaseven Posted September 9, 2014 Author Posted September 9, 2014 The movie was infinitely better than the book it was adapted from. Yeah, and what was Winston Groom thinking when he wrote Gump and Co.?
Dynaman Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Yeah, and what was Winston Groom thinking when he wrote Gump and Co.? one word - MONEY. I have read one of his histories of the civil war and it was excellent.
myk Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Easily a personal favorite. I'm glad to see it's back, but I don't believe the current generation of mindless movie-goers can appreciate this movie and it's brilliance. Nevertheless I will go out and support it....
