So far, there is just the 1 set announced. 😅 By comparison, Bandai has already released 8 expansion sets for the HG Scopedog models. Quote

The HG line for the prise, probably sells ten times more then the Hi-Metal R Line, Besides it has to have more detailing then the 1/35 model kits. If they actually cooperate is another question? I think they killed their 1/20 model line since it might interfere with the HMR line in sales! I think they wanted to release complete units in the HMR Line at the beginning to show that that they can give the collector the complete experience, and not have to chase down expansion packs, which they are known for not rereleasing. I just wish they didn't include the base with the first expansion pack since this seems to be the most expensive part of that set! other weapons or side armaments would have been more preferable. I don't really like the bases that Bandai releases, the seem to be an afterthought! @Graham Have you picked up all of the 5 HMR V.O.T.O.M.S so far? Quote

Yep, I've got: all five HMR releases so far. Here's what I've got: 1x Red Shoulder Custom (kinda regret not buying a second one when it was released). 2x Turbo Custom (my favorite Scopedog variant). 1x Scopedog in Space. 1x Blood Sucker. 1x Fatty. And I've got 1 each of the Melkian Scopedog and weapons set on pre-order. Oh, and the standard Scopedog with the plated joints that's being released next month, nearly forgot about that,😅 Quote

By the way Nin-Nin games has a really good price on the RSC for ¥16,940 which is a steal, at that price! I can confirm that they are brand new sealed boxes! I bought three from them. Funny that you like the STTC the most because it's actually my least favourite unit! Although it looks great as a squad! The RSC is still my favourite with Bloodsucker and Fanya's Space Assault unit close behind then FATTY. although I like all of them and wouldn't want to do without any of the releases so far. and looking forward to the Brutishdog the most from the upcoming releases! Great that after 40 years we finally get a first class series! 🤗 Well happy collecting 🤪 Edited Thursday at 04:30 AM by grogall Quote
Graham Posted Thursday at 04:35 AM Posted Thursday at 04:35 AM Currently re-watching the TV series and OVAs. It's about 15 or so years since I last watched the TV series. Actually I haven't even seen some of the newer OVAs before. Quote

I don’t know, kinda looks like a somewhat standard lower body and the upper kinda looks proportional height wise for a modified Scopedog, but a wider look with much bigger arms. The gun kinda looks similar to the berserga and gives a smaller kind of look to this A.T., so it may height wise be pretty similar to a basic scopedog, but I don’t think it would be a fun fight in hand to hand combat for the other pilot with those gorilla arms. I guess we’ll find out if the height stats are listed Quote
grogall Posted Thursday at 03:14 PM Posted Thursday at 03:14 PM (edited) Hobby Japan Web has a nice overview of the new 1:24 Wave STTC! I received the Wave RSC kit last week and must say it's quite nice! The detailing is very com-parable to the Hi-Meta R figures in detail! Some features are more detailed on the Wave kit while others are a little nicer on the HMR versions, of course Bandai still has the upper hand since everything is tamp-printed and have metal joints and feat for posing.... 😉 Edited Thursday at 03:15 PM by grogall Quote

I’d love to see how it goes together. Personally I really only have space for the 1/35 kits these days and passed on the big brother, but still would like to see it built Quote
grogall Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago The Hi-Metal R Scopedog will release February 21, 2026..... A week after we should know what the next release is!? 🤗 Quote

Bandai routinely releases Robot Spirits and RG model kits concurrently (even though they're the same scale), 'cause some like to make models and some like to collect completed action figures. Furthermore, 1:20 Scopedog models are more than twice the size of the HMRs (even though they cost half as much). 😅 Quote

A week after we should know what the next release is!? 🤗 My bet is the next Hi-Metal R announced will be the Brutishdog. However, I'd quite like either a Diving Beetle or Standing Turtle / Standing Tortoise. I'm currently rewatching the Kummen arc of the TV series. 😅 A Marshydog would also be OK. However, my number 1 most wanted AT is still the Burglarydog, closely followed by a ground type Fatty. Quote
