Either that or the movies might get taken seriously as a video bible about being resurrected as a part machine Jesus and all the humor might not be understood, so it ends up with that future civilization thinking that’s how things just were. Basically we had to slather on thick amounts of sunscreen and everything costed a dollar and women were always sharing the locker rooms

Reminds me of Mortal Engines, with the Minions being mistaken for 'American Deities.' Would not be surprised.
