DARTHTODD
Got any suggestions for removing thin cement off of a transparent plastic surface? Got some on my cockpit and of course it has a fingerprint in it and is very noticeable. Thanks!
VF-19
This you may not like.... First and formost, try rubbing alcohol to see if it will get the glue off. However, the way that glue works is that it dissolves the plastic... What you may end up having to do is sand off the glue with slightly corse sand paper, and work your way up to polishing grades... Grayson72
Yup sanding is what you're gonna have to do. And I think you mean canopy not cockpit, cockpit is where the little man sits
DARTHTODD
Thanks guys, I'll say a little prayer and try the rubbing alcohol first. Yes, I mean canopy, not cockpit (Sorry, I'm not much for thinking straight on football sunday!)
wm cheng
Sorry to hear that man! Real bummer... yes on the sanding, I would try a 600 grit first with plenty of water, then work your way up to 2000. If you've got some of the Tamiya polishing compound, that would be a good way to finish it off - don't worry if you still have a slight haze. Dip it in water first, if the haze dissappears under water, then the cuts are shallow enough to be hidden by a coat of future floor polish. Otherwise, if you still see scratches or haze underwater, then keep rubbing until it dissappears. But remember the last coat of future, it does wonders! DARTHTODD
Ok, I've got it sanded and it's clear under water. Ready for the Future floor polish, where can I get this stuff from?

Less than Super Ostrich
stupid question that I really should know the answer too, but I've been too chicken to ask. To clean FUTURE floor polish from your airbrush... do you use Windex? Or something else?
wm cheng
Yep, the regular blue windex with ammonia (I think the ammonia does the trick).
Grayson72
Yeah I use amonnia it's stinky but works like a charm, run some water through it after the amonnia too.
