tetsujin Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 1:144 Queadluun Rau I initially tried to finish this for the MMC Female Contest back in February, but by late night on the last day of the month the farthest I'd gotten was the basic paint job, so I decided I didn't want to enter the model in the contest given that it was basically unfinished. More recently, I finished it up - adding decals and a simple wooden base for a flight pose. I'm really happy with how it turned out: it really shows that Imai had their heads screwed on properly when they were designing their original Macross kit line...
grapetang Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Beauty! Nice build! Love the silhouette icons too!
jardann Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Great build! It's always good to see justice done to those old kits. For the time, the Bandai and Imai kits are really outstanding. Thanks for showing this one off!
valkyriepilot Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 the color scheme is very good!! and nice clean finish too, the decals make it unmistakeably a Zentraedi mecha
speedracex Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 that looks really nice, looks very professional
big F Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Lovely I wish they had made a 1/72 one. I really wanted one at that scale.
yaiba Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Nice job on the Q-rau. I've been really tempted by this kit because of all the great builds people have been doing, but have managed to resist due to the scale... I wish they had made a 1/72 one. I really wanted one at that scale. I second the sentiment!
AcroRay Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 Very nice, and I wholeheartedly concur with your sentiments on OOB buildups of older-style kits!
