David Hingtgen Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 Read over at ARC that the latest version of MicroSol has no vinegar smell. Anyone bought a bottle recently? (even if I did, my hobby shop probably has year-old stock) That'd be welcome, as the place smells like vinegar all night after a good decaling session.
Valkyrie Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 First I've heard of it. Could be worth checking out. I never had a problem with the smell. My problem is that MicroSol had a nasty habit of eating the occasional decal on me. I could never get any consistant (favorable) results, so I pretty much swore off the stuff long ago.

This is why I've been reluctant to try this stuff -- especially on decals I've paid to have specially made for me. Edited September 1, 2007 by Wicked Ace
Skull-1 Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 I have never had a problem with the stuff. It works like a charm... Never noticed any smell though either... Must be my least tuned sense...
Straycatt Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 I've always used Solvaset... Never liked Microsol..... -Adam
Skull-1 Posted September 4, 2007 Posted September 4, 2007 I've always used Solvaset... Never liked Microsol..... -Adam MicroSet/MicroSol is harsher on custom decals than Solvaset in my experience... I use both on each decal most of the time.
