The mecha designs hold true to their TV show roots and the issue is full of exciting (if brief) aerial dogfighting. The lush colors are definitely the stand-out of this series, adding to the anime feel of the art. It is to the colorist’s credit that the change in pencillers halfway through the book is almost imperceptible. The only major flaws in the art are a few minor instances where the characters act a little too much like cartoons, with emotive sweat drops hovering near their heads.
