it looks like we are going to see a new eva 1 toy. by the look of the pic it's using the same body as the eva2 and mass eva units that were released under the end of evangelion title last year. this new body is way the hell beter than to previous kaiyodo eva toys, better articulation and better poseability overall...

This was on show at wonderfest and has what Kaiyaido is calling their "revolver joint system". If you think of a ratchet inside a ball joint then you begin to get the idea, they sound very interesting and I will certainly pick up the Eva, new Getter Robo and probably the Dougram as well.

Some where out there is a wonerfest roundup with a pic of these figures along with a background ad board that had a diagram on it of how the revolver joints work.

Yeah i had photos of the new evas in another toyboard but unfortunately it got hacked and its database got deleted but we only managed to back it up to March this year.

There was a picture of a transparent EVA01 and it shows all the ratchet ball joint things. They look like the joints that came with the Spawn Interlink set some years back.

Oh man, I saw the prototype pic of Unit-01 from the hobby show, I can't wait for this to come out. Does anyone have any other pictures of it?

While I'm slightly interested in these as an Eva fan, I find it hard to get excited for ANY new EVA Unit figures after the perfection of the SOC figures.

I'm still waiting for a Soul of Chogokin Eva-05. It would be uber-sweet.

I applaud the effort on Kaiyodo's part though. Won't beat the SOC but it looks like a good figure nonetheless. I still have their Eva-05, hard core Unit-01, and Sachiel on display.
