Ok, I'll admit that I don't exactly have my finger on the pulse of the gaming industry, but was there really a demand for this? Whats next, a MMORPG adaptation of "Meet the Fockers?"

Not surprised. I was shocked when I heard it was going to be a trilogy but after that.... Not surprised at all. Disney plans to milk this thing untill anyting pirate related becomes dry and redundant. Just like the first Carribean film.

I sort of had this same thought myself when I got the new version of Pirates. I don't know if I'd go full blown MMORPG, but a multiplayer option in the game would rock.

I think an MMORPG could work, but I don't think you'd actually see a lot of Dutch traders going around selling goods. More than likely you'd log in and immediately get attacked by "NOObz 11!" buffed out Frigate.
