Yup, same with on my SDF-1 toy. Which is why you have to be very careful or you can try some drops of oil to loosen them up.

Both versions have the sliding bridge and sensor array... I have two of the Matchbox ones and both slide open just like the Takatoku... the only real difference between the two is the lack of missle firing capability.

Damn that pic makes me wish I hadn't been a... well kid and destroyed my matchbox. Where's Yamato with theirs (or Bandai with at least a re-issue??)?

One side of mine is really rigid. Just wiggle and pull. . . but be as gentle as possible and look out for stress marks on the plastic. It'll go eventually unless a prior owner super-glued it! :p

Yamato had said that they're gonna do a DYRL version of the Macross, but it's on the backburner due to other projects. <_<
