Johnny Depp has already confirmed his return as Captain Jack Sparrow; how much he'll earn for this is currently unknown. Geoffrey Rush will also reprise his role as Captain Hector Barbossa. For this project, Disney hands the director's chair to Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg, the duo behind the Academy Award nominated film Kon-Tiki. For those unfamiliar with that movie, watch the trailer below: The new Pirates film has a projected release date of July 7, 2017. Raise a Black Flag! Based on Story of Your Life by Ted Chiang, it is a sci-fi film about the arrival of an alien ship and mankind's attempt to communicate with it. The film will make its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival on September 2 before hitting theaters on November 11. If this is as good as Villeneuve's other works, there will be high hopes for his Blade Runner sequel. Arrival @ IMDb

In late August 2014, it was revealed that the third installment of The Boondock Saints was in planning, with the working title The Boondock Saints 3: Legion. Just today, Norman "Murphy McManus" Reedus confirmed on his Reddit AMA that "It's in the works. Happening." He also mentioned that he wants his "brother" Sean Patrick "Connor McManus" Flanery to join him in The Walking Dead. Meanwhile, writer/director Troy Duffy stated in an interview that he is halfway finished with the script. No word on when filming will begin or when it will be released.
