Will we be getting a separate TV FPs pack? must...resist...getting...another...Roy.... -
Oh and Kyp gave a great idea he's going to get this and wait for the TV FPs to come out must...resist...getting...another...Roy...
-
oh great the Rifleman's coming

it's not really that far-fetched I was actually considering buying one instead of a second 1/60 with FP (wasn't able to buy the second-hand 1/48 Roy with FP for the same price as a bnew 1/60 ) because I wanted it displayed in fighter mode only. My compulsiveness got the better of me, though, so I now have in display a fighter mode with FPs Besides, I think the price point would entice new collectors who just want to try out owning their first valk without coughing up a lot of cash. Or those who really want to own a valk but do not have enough to fit in their budget. This way, they can own the valk and save up for th FPs at a later time If they come out with the TV VF-1A's, I'll get the non-FP versions

haha very cool pose bro Now this is an example of a good poll post thanks for posting this
-
true that. would it be ok to have those non-responding "broken" votes removed so as to make the tally more realistic? I agree with the others that if these votes were true, then we should've heard some bitching from these voters by now. It seems those fake voters have never seen a poll before, I pity their existence.
-
It really depends. Many still swear by the 1/48's but having never owned one, I really wouldn't know. From what I've read, though, the new 1/60 is more proportionally balanced in all modes. If you're a fan of fighter modes, though, the 1/48 is still tops with a lot of fighter-mode details than the 1/60's. But it's not to say that the 1/60 isn't good in fighter mode. That's not the case at all. It's reversed in battroid mode as the 1/60 incorporates numerous improvements. If you'll be collecting Macross, I'd advise that you go for the 1/60 as honestly being in scale plays a big role. Even Bandai's upcoming Macross Frontier figures will be in that scale. If you want to have at least one 1/48 in your collection (which I'm sure you'd definitely want along the way), go for the non-canon valks (like the Low Vis versions, 1J Stealth, or the 1S 25th Anniv paired with the Stealth FP if possible). That way, the misproportioned scale won't go against your main collection as these are special edition ones

Also for those who voted for "Mine is not broken or perfect but I have complaints." Though it's safe to consider the votes valid, we would really love to hear your opinion. It's the best way to help manufacturers improve their products.

true that. i also realized something. Macross 7 closely follows DYRL more than the SDF TV. For one, exodol in 7 is in DYRL form than the TV series looks. Also, one of the Macross 7 encore episodes states that Exodol never underwent micromization, which is true in DYRL but is in stark contrast to the TV as he underwent micronization there. -

gak! limited release? So I better have mine reserved as early as now Yeah, I did notice that, the DYRL gets more exposure than the SDF TV. It could be that much of the VF paint scemes, variants, and accessories in DYRL are much more interesting than those in the TV series f.e. ElintSeeker > Funny Chinese, Strike Parts > Super Parts, Super Ostrich > VT-1D, etc. -
wow thanks for posting this the customs were wicked! I especially loved the 1A Max in Zentraedi uniform. BTW, the Pony-Toy Go Round story you mentioned piqued my curiosity. What's it about?

As a first valk, I'd prefer the new 1/60 VF-1 since it's the most famous valk. The only reason why I bought the YF-21 first is because the 1/60 ver 2 wasn't out yet and then a local hobby shop had a sale and I couldn't resist the pride it had for the YF-21 (I wanted the YF-19 but they quickly ran out of stock). But no regrets, though, as the YF-21 is absolutely excellent and is chock-full of extras compared to the YF-19. I actually felt that I got more than what I paid for. But between YF-21 and VF-1 version 2, I pick the latter I love the new 1/60 so much I bought two already
-
not really. there are those who'd like their collections to be in scale and the 1/48's are still great if you love VF-1's
-
"The other thing is why are there no comparison pics to a VF-1 1/48. Seems like you intentionally didnt. To make it seem like something unique and help yamato sales?" For one, as said earlier, other reviews have already made the comparisons. IF he intentionally didn't make comparison pics, it could be taken as the 1/60 being reviewed on its own merit. I see no foul-play there. From your tone, you seem to imply that the new 1/60 is so below the 1/48's that Yamato needs help to boost the 1/60's sales. Clearly that's not the case. For one, while the new 1/60 lost some details (particularly in fighter mode like the wing flaps etc), other details were added and the design incorporates improvements (like double jointed elbows). So if you have the impression of the 1/60 being just a shrunk 1/48 (based on your "seem like something unique" comment), then you're dead wrong. Now, unless Yamato paid ALL independent reviewers over the world, I'd say jenius's review reflects the conclusions you'll find in other reviews: that whether compared to the 1/48 or not, the new 1/60 is among the best Yamato's churned out. Besides, it sold out too fast that it can't be attributed to a single review.

Wow! it does look great! Thanks Quin I went to a local hobby shop yesterday but they ran out of the clear version I'll definitely pick this up and use the savings for other yamato valks
-
cool! i'd like to see that in a gbp armor @ 1 VF-1 2NV: could you make a mock-up on the gbp? would that be possible via photoshop?
-
yes, could anyone provide a pic of the Minmay guard design?
-
ei pare, thanks metal parts here are much fewer than the old 1-60's at least that'll help minimize that I think only the t-bar's the metal part here
