After dithering several years whether to get these, I finally caved in. In the spirit of the latest Avengers movie of course. Happy that I was able to get the Hulkbuster at a reasonable price, considering that it used to sell in the aftermarket upwards of USD400. -
Guys, if the pre-order is set to open on the 27th, how come its not on the Tamashii Website? Shouldn't there be an official announcement for this?

Whoa, pre-order on the 27th of April? That came out of nowhere! Hope there's a pay later option for this because I'm definitely in for one although I already have the VF-19 Advance (I knew there was a reason why I didn't spend money on the VF-31A ) Those missiles are way too tempting, and this will be my first Macross Plus Valkyrie if I manage to get one. Here's hoping that Bandai will make a YF-21 to go along with this.

Yep, got the email from NY as well. April 28 it is. Chose to pay mine already. Might end up spending the money on something else. Hehe! I still hope they did at least some detail work on Macross City, though the lack of any last minute prototype pics is making me keep my expectations low. Just glad I'm able to get and afford this now.

Where is that shop Shuzenzero? I've been lurking the 31 thread to wait for news about the armor packs, but it seems that the 31A Kairos has been making consistent headlines. Sorry for everyone who ordered and still haven't or weren't able to obtain one.

Man, I really don't want to start collecting the Hi-Metal Macross valks. I really hope Arcadia has the 1/60 Elintseeker and the Super Ostrich lined up for re-release. -
Don't worry Noel. A few months from now, Bandai will announce Arad's custom VF-31A...as a Tamashii Web exclusive of course.

Hello Spanner! I’m kind of surpised that you don’t have any rally cars in your collection, considering you’re more of an Autoart enthusiast than I am. I recall seeing a 22b in your collection in a pic you posted way back. The 1997 Monte Carlo Impreza uses the same body and chassis (the 22b road car is based off it after all), but everything else is different. The wheels, engine, seats, dash and most of the interior are all new molds. There are several versions of this rally car, but obviously, the Colin Mcrae/Nicky Grist version is the more iconic and the one to get, IHMO. There’s even an off-road version with different wheels, higher supension and a snorkel. But I like the standard road version best. Any true Subie fan should have one of these and/or the 22b. This is probably the closest most of us can get to owning the definitive WRX in our lifetimes. -

Haven't posted new purchases in a while. Been extremely busy at work. But as a Subie and WRC fan, I believe this deserves a post (forgive the phone pics. They don't do this piece justice at all.) Now I have to find a space for Colin's ride in my collection: -
IMHO, its nice to have quiet times. It allows me to assess where I am right now and think long term about what I really want to do in the future. That being said, I'd say that the pacing of releases in so far as Macross Toys are concerned is pretty good right now. With the exception of the VF-2SS I'm not into HMR (yet?) and am only in the market for the 1/60 Arcadia and Bandai releases. Though I'm not a fan of Delta as much as Frontier, I still made the decision to complete the DX releases of Delta Platoon, along with their super (and now armored) packs. I'm reasonably sure that Bandai will release all of the Delta Valks so I'm covered in that front. From the Arcadia front, I've got the Premium SDF-1 DYRL coming up next month. That's a significant chunk of change so I'm in no hurry for any immediate releases from them at this time. I was considering getting the recently released M&M's but decided that I'm staying the DYRL route and skip the TV releases for now. I am looking forward to the Ivanov SV-51, but that seems a ways off still. I am hoping that Arcadia will do a re-release of all the DYRL valks (i.e. the rest of the skull squadron, the Elintseeker and the Super Ostrich) since I missed out on those. I doubt they'll release them so close together, but again that's good for me because it'll give my wallet time to recover in-between releases. After all, Arcadia's valks have significantly gone up in price compared to when they were first released by Yamato. Apart from that, I'm good in the Arcadia front. I'm looking forward to the eventual blu-ray release of the Passionate Walkure Movie and the new Macross series, the latter of which will no doubt come with a slew of new toy releases. I'm actually more excited for the new mecha designs than the new story. All things considered, I think its a great time for me to be a Macross fan.

Yappari deru! (I knew they would come out!) Armored pack was more or less a certainty. But the Lildrakens? Now that was something I didn’t expect. Not really interested if its going to be a special release Messer custom. But if its just the Lildrakens with special clear attachment parts to allow for connection to any 31 (which I expect), then I might bite.

So, any news as to a blu-ray release of the Delta Movie? I'm skipping the TV series and going straight for the movie version. Don't really care if its only marginally better than the series. Anything with an armored valk in it is worth watching in my book. -
Well, I hung around NY to see what else would come up for pre-order and lo and behold the Zeta Plus was there! Pre-ordered it and combined it with my 31s pre-order since both have the same release date. Great times!

Guys, just to let you know that I decided to cancel my HLJ order for the 31s. Don't know how soon that will pop up, but for anyone who still hasn't gotten a pre-order in just go check out HLJ.

I'm just shedding off excess adrenaline now by hanging around the thread. Its been a great day for me. Got a preorder for the VF-31S and as an additional bonus, got a preorder for the Metal Robot Damashii Zeta Plus C1 before it went to "not available" status at NY. I had been looking out for both of them and am thankful that I got both at the same time. Have a good day and God bless everyone!

If anybody still hasn't gotten a pre-order in, I'm willing to cancel my order at HLJ for them. I don't normally order multiples so it won't be a big deal if I only get one. Hopefully HLJ won't penalize me for it though. I haven't cancelled an order from them in a long time.
