  1. I live in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia bro. Driving here is quite the experience. The roads are excellent, but the drivers are not.
  2. Hey, a fellow Subie fan! I drive a '11 WRX STI myself! Too bad Autoart hasn't released the rest of the Subaru WRX STI line. I'm still looking for a good scale model of the '11 series.

    Bandai DX VF-31

So the reaction missiles are bundled with the valk itself. No need to get the super packs unless you want the matching black and blue color scheme. Hayate's original super pack should suffice right?

    Bandai DX VF-31

Aw man, the "upgraded" VF-31J looks so tempting with the new color scheme and super packs with reaction missiles. I'm also interested to see whether NY will carry this and for how much. And yeah, it looks like the reaction missiles are held by a clip on a rotating hard point on the super pack's shield. Not very elegant, but would at least mean that it can clip on the regular super packs. Hopefully.
  5. And another package arrived today from NY! My VF-31C is here! Also got some White Base Hangar and Catapult Decks for my Robot Damashii's. And some figuarts ladies (Cammy is for my daughter who loves playing her in SF). Yuki of course, is mine.

    Bandai DX VF-31

Wow, now that's the money shot right there Saburo! That pic would get any Macross fan to throw money at Bandai. Hope Chuck's and Arad's will come out soon too!
  7. Well, I was only ever going to get one set of armor parts. Payload will have to be shared among my valks that have the hard points. The armor will go to Luca's RVF-171 because Bandai never released one for him. As for the wings, they'd make good letter openers and for spreading butter on toast. Too bad the cannon-fodder VF-171 does not have as many alternative uses apart from blowing up in your hands. As for Xigrid's DX Missiles, they look quite tempting, but apparently require additional work that I can't spare the time for. Great to have the option though.
  8. Hehe, of course I meant plural Noel! I've already commited to getting the whole Delta platoon. Anyway, I get what you mean. Its little confusing if I type "VF-31s" because it sounds like I'm referring to the variant. Maybe I should have typed "VF-31ses?" How DO you write the plural of VF-31?
  9. Well look what SAL dragged in the office today! Finally got my Lil Drakens! Also, I'm glad I snatched up a set of these Nightmare Plus Armor Parts. Now I have some payload to attach to my VF-31's. Woot!
  10. I just saw a few GFMMC Zeta-pluses in Jungle, mostly B quality though. I think I'll pass for now and save some money for more Macross love. :-)
  11. Thanks for the tip on Mandarake Noel! For some reason however, Mandarake is blocked here in KSA. I used to be able to order from them when I was back in Jakarta, but not here in Riyadh. :-( I don't think the upcoming RD release of the Zeta-Plus will be transformable. I do like the fact that the RD Sentinel FAZZ has removable armor; a gimmick not found on the regular RD FAZZ.
  12. Thanks for the link Sandman! Just gone through Veef's review of the GFFMC Zeta Plus. So the scale and the transformation is essentially the same as with the MG. Sort of regret not grabbing one when it was still available, though I agree with Graham that the grey Sentinel version would have been better. Are you into the Robot Damashii Ver. Ka. Sentinel releases Graham? I know that the grey Zeta-plus is lined up for release in that line. A little frustrated that I missed the pre-orders for the Sentinel FAZZ. :-(
  13. Premium version is still available in NY if you're interested: https://www.nippon-yasan.com/figures/22049-1-3000-kanzen-henkei-sdf-1-macross-premium-finish-limited-edition.html
  14. Ah, that's right! I forgot about the Zeta Plus in the FF Metal Composite line. I stand corrected! I don't have any of those however, so I don't know how much of a partsformer they are. I remember you got one Noel. Is the transformation to waverider mode similar to the MG Zeta's? Although the design of the Zeta isn't technically perfect transformation to begin with.
  15. I see that they have a pic of Alto's VF-25F in the twitter post. Is that a hint that they will re-release the DX Frontier line? Talking about the Metal Build Gundam series, I've been tempted so many times to get one, but I'm holding out for Bandai to release the rest of the UC Gundams, particularly from the Zeta, Double Zeta and Sentinel series. The Robot/Metal Damashii versions are nice and all, but none of them transform. I do understand though that Bandai has yet to release a transforming Gundam even in the Metal Build/Metal Fix Figuration line (Unicorn not counted). My wish is for Bandai to release a premium Metal Build Double Zeta Gundam that has all the gimmicks of the Master Grade (i.e. transformable, removable Full Armor pack, etc). I'd buy that in a heartbeat.
  16. Hmm, has the market for kidneys gone down recently? I would have thought that a kidney would have gotten you a Premium Version at least.
  17. +1 for the VF-11C with Reactive Armor. Anything with Armor Packs is an instabuy for me. Also, please re-release the Elintseeker, Super Ostrich, and the rest of the Skull Squadron, Arcadia!

    Hi-Metal R

Man, I'm so tempted to start collecting this line. The Zentran mechs look so much fun. Not to mention the Elintseeker and Super Ostrich (hopefully Arcadia decides to re-release the 1/60 versions). So far I've allowed myself to PO the VF-2SS, only because I fully expect the Bandai version to trash the Evolution version even though its in a smaller scale. Looks pretty good from that twitter pic.
  19. And this is why you're the master Saburo! You've made me reach a new level of appreciation for your photography. :-)

    Bandai DX VF-31

Wait, they're releasing this ahead of Chuck's and Arad's?!
  21. I'm still waiting on my Lil drakens from EMS. Its been eight days since its been shipped out and still no news of its arrival at our Post office. I wonder if the recent typhoons affected shipping? Anyone else having delayed shipment from EMS Japan? UPDATE: Sorry, my bad. Apparently, I shipped my package via SAL. Guess its going to be a while longer before I get to play with these. :-(
  22. I got my Hot Ryu from eBay for almost double its selling price at SDCC. But that's okay, considering how much a ticket to the US and then to SDCC would have cost me. :-) Hot Ryu is a great figure, with IMHO better sculpting than the regular Ryu, especially the face/head. Something just seems off with the face of the regular Ryu, though I'm still a hardcore fan of the regular costume/design. I also have Ken, and am waiting for Gouki/Akuma to be released later this month from Ami-ami. I agree that the Storm/Nauts SFV figures are great (quite a step up in quality from the Play Arts Kai SFIV Versions), though I'm worried about the soft rubber used on the figures. I hope they don't disintegrate over time... Congratulations again on your purchases!
